I was offered a job!!!

First, sorry I've been kind of MIA lately! Lots going on at home and it is mentally draining me, but this weekend brought some relief to that and I feel a lot better about things.
I had a second interview Saturday at Valley View Casino for the Players Club position and instead of it being 1 PT position, there was also now 3 FT positions. She told me they were doing more interviews that day and Monday and would make a decision after that. Said I could get a call as soon as Monday, but no later than Wednesday.
Well, I got the call yesterday and she offered me one of the FT positions!!!!  My girls laughed at my screeming Yahoooo in the parking lot!!!! lol
I'm VERY excited and so grateful, but the job isn't mine yet! I don't know if you know what is involved in getting a job at a casino, but it is more complicated. You have to go through the Gaming Commission stuff, like background check and credit check. It is the credit check part that has me worried. MY CREDIT SUCKS!!!!!! I'm really hoping they don't hold that against me. I won't be in a key position dealing with money, so they aren't as strict, but still!  They said be honest and if they see you are working on fixing it, they might be ok. I am in the process of filing bankruptcy, so hopefully that will be fixing it enough for them! I'm really scared to get too excited too soon. The whole hiring process takes about 2 weeks. I go Thursday to start the Gaming stuff. Today was the easy part, my drug test!!! lol I know I'll pass that one!!! lol
So, thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts for getting the job, they worked!!! Now, PLEASE keep it going that I pass the Gaming stuff and still have the job!!!!

Oh Becky!  I knew something was up with you as I was thinking of you around 4:00 today and made a mental note to email you later, but here you are!  How wonderful.  I will say prayers that you get through the credit part of it.  In this economy I think there is more people with credit issues than not.  PLease keep us posted.  I am happy for you.  Sorry that you have a lot going on at home.  Feel free to PM me anytime.

Let's hope they are a little more understanding with the way today's economy is! You know what is really sad to me is that in the bad economy we have today, that casino's are still thriving!!! Kind of says alot, huh??
