Carb limit

I know I will most likely always stuggle with carbs but what is your daily carb limit?  I'm trying to figure out a system of controlling my carbs - Ex. yesterday I was very good I had 4 grams (2% of my calorie intake) of carbs but today I have already had 26 grams (33%) of carbs and it's just past lunch.
Let me know what works best for you and maybe it will work for me.

I was told each meal should be no more than 11 grams of carb pre day.  I don.t think that is enough but I am concentrating on protein still.

I was told I could have up to 40g carbs but if I have more than 20 my weight stalls.  I think, like everything, you have your own limits. IMO  Track them on fitday.com and compare to your weight losses/stalls.
