Mural Update..
First of all, I want to say thank you to all of you who shown your support to me throughout this process. It was a very big job for me to undertake as you can imagine and never have I had my own personal art of such porportion in a public place. Yes I have done three tile murals with students...the last one is over 60 feet and some of you have seen it. In fact it is on my picturetrail on my profile. That was a collective effort. This is different exciting and scary all at the same time and this should be a ticket to do more public work. As Jeff said that even though there is mosiac work around the desert...there is nothing to compare this too because it is not a cookie cutter mosiac. It is taking the mosiac piece to form a painting like. I am happy with it so far and will be happier when it is complete. I am thinking of contacting Huell Houser to do a piece on it along with it tieing into the three schools that go along with it. IT would be awesome if he would showcase these three schools because they are International Schools!!
So here are some pics....enjoy
tthe teacher who passed always use to say this and those bright turquoise pieces are rocks that I collected about 8 years ago up at Cooper Mountain Mine up in Joshua.
some more tiles I made...great patterns and colors
the beginning of laying the desert floor
mess!!
A perspective of height and size with Jeff staning there....that is not quite half of it!
Thanks for letting me share and I hope you are enjoying seeing the progress.
