Something to make pureed food more fun
Hi All..especially newbies or those still using pureed foods..I am following a really strick regime of nutrition even before WLS. I take a good protein source first thing in the morning, then if I am still hungry or am feeling a big "irregular' I have some Unsweetened Applesauce and sprinkle some Wheat Germ and a dash of pure plain ground cinnamon on it. If you close your eyes and tap your heels 3 times, it is just as good as Apple cobbler!! The Wheat Germ adds a texture to it plus some added protein and ofcourse fiber. Best wishes to all

Yeah Joy I loved the Ricotta with cinnimom and splenda.....still do...not too much of a carmel person. I also like to put my delicious spaghetti sauce over it too...makes me feel like I am eating lasagna!
BTW....GREEK Yogurt....my new favorite food!

Joy...Yummmmmmmmmmm..I love Ricotta..and guess what I just found out?? Ricotta isn't really cheese, its Whey!!..Now...where have I heard we need Whey??..lol I am going to switch cottage cheese for Ricotta (less sodium also)...and use Janine's idea with the spaghetti sauce... so many ways to be normal yet healthy and anybody not following a WLS protocal eating paln wouldn't even know...they'd just think we are making our own unusual choices!...
