Ok....I had to confirm the weekend plans....but we'll be there!  We do have to go to the 1/2 marathon expo first though so we might be a little late.....so drink your coffee sloooooooow!  ;-)Does anyone know how far this Starbuck's is from the San Jose Convention Center???

Can't wait to meet everyone.....and Janel...YOU BETTER BE THERE!!!!!  :-)

Also....we have our plans set to do the wineries and SF...but are planning on exploring San Jose (most likely car-less) on Saturday.  Any locals have any ideas of where to go?  Any not to miss eats anywhere or any must do activities?   :-)  Oh....and we NEED a great place to watch the football games after the race on Sunday!

The starbucks is not in walking distance but driving it is not far.  Its on the marathon route actually.  I knew the traffic near that place would bee too much to get everyone there without having to pay parking fees.
My favorite place to eat downtown in San Jo is the Melting Pot.  Its a fun fondue restaurant.  And its a lot of protein with the meat and cheese.  Its within reasonable walking distance of the expo center.
You will love the wineries.  If you can visit Opus One its a treat.  I also like visiting Domaine Chandon (sp?).  If you are in Yountville and want a real culinary experience there is The French Laundry.  It was the best restaurant in the world at one time.  But it is pricey.  we went once and it is truly an experience.
For touristy things to do in san jose you have to go to the Winchester Mystery House and for shopping and dining Santana Row is the IT place.  You could watch games at Britiania Armp probably.  Im not as good at remembering where the good tvs are.  So im not actually 100%sure about their tvs.
I am glad you are coming!!! Jess
