I have been prescribed Flexeril for my back. Has anyone else used it? Good results? I cannot find anywhere that it is a med we cannot take. Just wondering.

PS- Only had 2 pills (once daily), so too soon for me to feel results.

I would use an antacid with it. I take Celebrax and my doc said it is the safest because it is also coated with something too. If you start getting a tummy ache...I surely would stop! Hoe you feel better...oh yea and Flexoril will make you sleepy!

Thanks Janine! I also take Celebrex for knees. This is supposed to be a muscle relaxer, but I am not really sleepy with it. Oh Well **sigh** Maybe they will be fighting with each other. Who knows! Thanks!

Celebrex is an anti-inflamatory. Flexeril is a muscle relaxer. As far as I know, it is not on our list of no-no's. My doc just prescribed me some for muscle spasms. I find, when my muscles are really tight and spasming, it work fairly quickly. It does make me sleepy though and sometimes I have a hard time waking up the next day. I only take it at night.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info. It is helping the spasms. I take it at night. I NEED to get this resolved, since we are driving to Laughlin the first weekend in Oct. Going to see Journey!! So I want to make sure I am comfortable for the drive and sitting at the concert.

I currently take Flexeril. It works pretty good. Soma is another muscle relaxer that I think works much better. Anti-inflammatories are good for a few weeks and then they stop working, at least that's what happens to me. I won't use them. Good luck.

Thanks Marcy ! I did not think that my Celebrex was working until I had to stop for 2 weeks last year, for my knee replacement surgery. That is when I realized that it was working for me. ** Sigh** I am very slow thinking sometimes. I hope your journey is smooth and uneventful.

Hi Leann, I take Flexeril at night for my back and have had no problems. It's a muscle relaxer, not an anti-inflammatory or NSAID, so it won't hurt our pouches. I have had great results with it, but I have been taking it for 7 years. Give it some time to kick in. =)

I went to Urgent Care on Sunday and they gave 14 tablets of Flexeril. I took one - then looked it up . I figured that one would not hurt pouchie. After research, I still did not see any problem with it. But I wanted the OH professionals also. Take care!!
