I dislike the majority of protein drinks out there. Most of them make me gag.  I have discovered Nectar brand Fuzzy Navel. It tastes like juice to me and I don't have any trouble drinking it.

Good luck to you!

It is so hard to find a good tasting protein shake.  Most people just try and force down whatever they can (without chokeing).  I was lucky on my favorite.  Someone gave me their bag because they couldn't tolerate this one (she has trouble with alot of items).  Mine is Wellements Premium Pro Rated...Alpine Vanilla.  You have to buy it on line.  I could not find it in any store.  I give samples away at support groups because no one has heard of this one.  It is made with soy protein isolate and eggs.  They also use Splenda.  The thing is will you pay $50. for a 6 pound bag of something you haven't tasted?  My other protein mixes I just gave away at support group meetings.  It is very hard to find a good one.  Good luck.  Brian

I looooove Designer Whey chocolate protein powder mixed with almond milk (I buy both at Trader Joe's) ... I've been told you can mix Designer Whey with water - in fact, it says so on the can - but I haven't tried that. With the almond milk it's almost like a milkshake - tastes good and quells my chocolate cravings.

My other favorite is CLICK ... It's like a coffee drink ... Mocha espresso something or other. I've ONLY used that one with water, and I love it. I usually make a 14-ounce drink, dump some ice into it, and sip on it for hours. The powder mixes well with water (it was made to be done that way), so it's not thick or chalky at all.

The only problem is that a serving of CLICK is two scoops - which is what you mix with the 14 ounces of water - and it's only 15g of protein. Designer Whey is 18g per scoop, and I was using two scoops with eight ounces of mil****il my stomach stopped being able to tolerate the sweetness. Now I just do one scoop and a packet of No Sugar Added Carnation Instant Breakfast, for a total of 23g of protein in an eight-ounce shake.

So my final assessment is that I like CLICK better overall, but Designer Whey wins for protein content.

Oh yeah, and Muscle Milk is also a good one ... But I only like the premixed shakes and they're too expensive, so I got out of that habit. If you can find a sample of their powder and make one of the shakes yourself, you might find you're able to tolerate it ... I couldn't ...

Good luck finding one you like!

I really like the Muscle Milk Light in Chocolate Mint, and when I think of what I used to spend on food, I don't care about the cost all that much.

But my favorite way to get protein is in a Starbuck's decaf, skinny vanilla latte. A venti size has 16 grams of protein all from milk, and they taste so good. I have at least one every day.

Good luck,  nancy

I have to agree with Sue - Nectar Fuzzy Navel. I cannot stand thick shakes - Its the texture maybe. Fuzzy Navel with orange cl in a blender bottle is awesome. I make it 20oz - nice and thin and the blender bottle keeps me from any protein smell. Sometimes I am sensitive to smells.

I would strongly recommend getting samples before you buy a large tub of protein shake/drink. Your taste will change and so will your tolerance.

I dislike most of the protein drinks.  About the only one I can tolerate lately is Unjury chocolate. I throw it in my magic bullet with fat free milk and ice cubes.
