I didn't know until today how soon some of the OP dates were scheduled from the consultation with the surgeons office. I want to be in the very best pre-op condition I can be...just how long does it take to get the liver presentable??..lol I started my pre-op diet just last Friday..is 3 weeks long enough to make a difference? My surgeon has asked that I be on a no sugar-no starch-lean meat program. I sure hope it does the job. omgosh..the excitement!!

Hair will be reddened by the weekend..nails are going strong with lots of vitamins and the toes..well..I cannot reach them yet to polish..lol One of my first prizes to myself will be a pedicure, I've never had one..always to shy. I think I will ask for a Christmas gift of a mani-pedi certificate..lol My hair will be taken care of by my wonderfully talented hair stylist daughter!...Oh!-someone remind me I need slippers..lol

if all it takes is 2-3 weeks, then my doc will have what he desires. You know..the "shrink liver" diet is something maybe more surgeons should look into for pre-op patients (of other type surguries, not just WLS). It is something I have never heard of before this procedure. I am wondering what this will do for my TC and Tricglycerides, both of which were fair to begin with, but can always use improvement. I have to admit though, I've been getting the "carbless headache", but it hurts oooooohh soooooooo goooooddd..lol
