OT: I got the job

As many of you know I have been jumping through County hoops trying to get a job. Well today I went in for my lie detector test and they hired me on the spot. My first day is Oct. 10th, training and classroom stuff. I am so excited, but at the same time feel bad about having to give my notice at my current place of employement. They are really nice, but gotta go where the money and benefits are. I am so floating on cloud nine right now.
Thank you all for your good thoughts throughout this whole thing!! I knew things had to be happening for a reason and here it is!! Now lets just hope they are cool with a couple weeks off in November for surgery!!

The county does have their hoops, but hey, they offer great jobs and benefits. Congrats to you, you deserve a break, (wasn't it McDonalds that said that?)

I am really happy for you. I retired from the county and my retirement tho not much, it's always there for the rest of my life. Not sure what you applied for, but as I said
