protein drink?

I am having a hard time keeping down the protein shakes... a friend of mine gave me a boost drink today.  It is made for diabetics so the sugar is really low... anyone else drink these?   are they a good idea.

I haven't tried them but I mix my protein drinks with Crystal Lite.  I like the Strawberry best with Vanilla powder.  I also dumped in a container of dannen lite and fit yogurt.  It tasted great.  The canned and pre-mixed protein drinks have a nasty horrible icky after taste I can't stand. 

I use EAS vanilla power 27 gms of protein.  Raleys carries it as does Costco.

I use GNC 100% Whey Powder. I mix all kinds of stuff with mine coffee, sf syrup, peanut butter powder. I use mostly vanilla, chocolate and unflavored, I love the vanilla with frozen mango and a little sweetener. Or Crystal lite for the flavor... Tropical "south beach" on the go is really good in a protein shake too.
I make mine out of milk for the most part and love to experiment with all different tastes.

TamiN, I get the protein powder online here is the address, www.bellplantation.com  You can get it on Ebay 1 jar at a time or through the maker 4 jars at a time for much less.

Oh, and be sure you are drinking them really slow!.

Check the carb count on the label.  If there are less carbs than protein, you may be in luck.

Ughhh!  I knew they were too good to be true 16gms of protein but 16 gms of carbs too.   Guess I will take a trip to GNC.  

My neighbor brought me a large bottle of something called  BodyTech Whey Tech, from the Vitamin Shoppe, It has  3 carbs 1 sugar and 24 g of protein.   It's not bad.  I haven't done drinks for a long time and this one seems to be good.  Also the already mixed up in a can WorldWide Protein Drinks are very good...and I mean good.  If you buy a case at the vitamin shoppe they end up being 2 bucks a can.  You will love those, especially the chocolate.

Wow I didn't realize you were so close... I am in San Bernardino off the 30 freeway.   Where is the vitamin shoppe?  Thanks for all your help by the way.   :)
