Good Morning & Happy TGIF

Good Morning Everyone and this is your Friday edition of TGIF for sure!!!!

Can we say it has been a long week or what? OMG!!! Today I finish off my week with an after school dance...you know the Welcome Back to School dance with too many sweaty pubescent kids not to mention the humidity we have been having....I need nose plugs  

I wish I could say that I was looking forward to the weekend. I wish I was going to the dinner, but have a wedding to attend tomorrow night...I mean that is cool, but I do not like the conflict of happenings. I am also going to be working both days on the mural. I just wanna get it done and over with so I can just have my normal level of stress! I am probably working after the dance too!

Anywho.....life does march on and in Liz R's case rides on! Can you all believe she is riding 175 miles this weekend? She is quite a woman in my eyes and a lot of us around these necks of the woods we call OH. We are proud of you LIZ!!!  

Kim aka Butterfly.....I am really sorry to hear about your friends mother and all the drama that surrounds his life. Very sad. Hope your Dr. Q visit goes well too...be safe driving!

Janel...you are doing great....it is just a matter of time now as it sounds like your wound issue is really getting under control!

Steve can you believe the weight loss this week and be sure to add Kim S to the pounds lost this week...she dumped off 4 pounds!

Scott I am sure you are on your way to Phoenix...was great talking with you last night. You are going to have tons of fun and wait until the people see you. I am glad that you are starting to see a difference cuz we sure all can! See you this next week!

LuLu....I sure hope that today brings you less pain. I do worry about you!  

Hey Melissa...see I get up around the same time....hehehehehehhee are you working? I would HATE working those hours...wait a minute...I hate working...hehehehehe!

Darlene...where you been chicky-doo.....is everything okay?

Jean...where you been too? I must be brainfarting cuz I have not see you around since last weekend I do not think. Hope all is well too!

Monica I hope your neck is not hurting too much from being jerked around. I am glad that you stayed with that woman...how scary was that? Also I bet you were glad you did not have Jordyn. I tell you I am so cautious when I have my grandchildren in the car and I tell you that I never remember being that scared when my boys were babies, but for some reason I am more scared now...oh wait a minute...I live out in the land of cotton tops who cannot drive!  

Lola I know you have a 4 day weekend, but do find some time to get some rest too. I know you have a stressful job, but you know it will be compounded if you don't get some rest too!

Steve how did the eye exam go? I know it is expensive to change glasses and all that junk...horrible in fact because they have you were the hair is short there! I went through 4 RX's until I finally have settled on wearing contacts most of the time. Ironically it helps with the situation in my classroom as it protects my eyes.

Kim in Fontana...it is only a matter of time when Mo will call you and give you a date...and then we can call you LOSER...affectionately tho!! I am excited for you!

Kim aka puddin.....I do not know the situation with you and Greg, but if you dumped him...there had to be a good reason. A good man will come into your life...he just hasn't come around yet. You just keep on being you and doing what you are doing and when you least expect it....bam he will be there!!!

Rhonda you ding bat...driving to VEGAS in a day and back...you on crack????  So not much to do....laundry and teaching...sounds like a lot to me!!! Give your little guy a big smooch from Neen...he is such a sweetpea!!! I would love to meet the rest of your gang!

Lisa B...you were worried no one would come...you only had 330 of your closest friends there. YOu are too funny....oh and I nearly did not recognize you with your new board pic...very cute! Coming out soon?

Hey Maureen....roughing it to me is staying in a Motel 6 on the road LOL!!!! In time your pouch might tolerate eggs. I do not do scrambled very well...but I can eat a fried egg in Pam...go figure!

Patty the all or nothing for me does not require perfection....but I am wondering...wanna come and organize my closet??? It is a friggin nightmare right now. The only reason my big closet at school is sort of okay is because Jeff comes occasionally and arranges it. Otherwise...it would be an OMG situation. I have been told I am creatively organized.   Glad you can get insight on yourself through all or nothing. Oh and high school yearbook is where the students work....middle school it is...what work???

SORRY YOU HAVE TO WORK SO MUCH ON ALL OF YOUR DIFFERENT PROJECTS, BUT THE MURAL SURE IS AWESOME. YOUR SO TALENTED.  THIS MOSSAIC MUST BE A LABOR OF LOVE.

I WENT TO THE RHUMETALOGIST AND THEY NOW HAVE ME ON DIFFERENT MEDS THEN THEY DID THE FIRST VISIT. WHICH IS OK WITH ME, THAT PREDINSONE PUTS TO MUCH WEIGHT ON YOU.

SO FAR THEY HAVE DETERMIND THAT I HAVE FIBROMYALGIA, INFLAMATORY ARTHRITIS ALONG WITH MY ULCERATIVE COLITIS AND CROHNS. THE DR. GAVE ME A SHOT IN MY HIP AND IT HAS HELPED A GREAT DEAL. I DON'T FEEL LIKE I AM WALKING LIKE AN 8O YEAR OLD. THEN AGAIN I HAVE SEEN SOME 80 YEAR OLDS THAT GET AROUND BEETER THEN I DO.

I GO A WEEK FROM TODAY TO SEE A NERUOSURGEON TO HAVE THE NERVE CONDUCTION TEST DONE FOR MY HANDS. THEY ARE JUST GOING THROUGH THE MOTIONS AS THEY ARE SURE IT'S CARPAL TUNNEL. OH FUN FUN.  I WILL HAVE TO SEE WHERE WE GO FROM THERE.

I TRY TO KEEP READING THE BOARDS SO I DON'T FEEL TO LEFT OUT. LOL....

I HAVE  BEEN PUTTERING IN THE GARDEN THE LAST WEEK OR SO. NO BIG PLANTINGS...TO HARD TO DO WITH BRACES ON THE HANDS. I AM  SO GLAD THAT  I HAVE A LITTLE GARDEN TO PUTTER AROUND IN OR I WOULD BE GOING NUTS

Jodi..my heart hurts for you.  As I told a family member a few days ago...if everybody you know could take just a pinch of your pain away, you'd be pain free....that's how many people love you and pray for your healing.  ..much love, Kim

If they are going to recommend surgery for your carpal tunnel, please make sure the surgeon who does it will do not only the release but remove the scar tissue from around the nerves.  I had a release done on both my hands and they had to go back into my right hand and do some more work, but most importantly he did micro surgery and removed as much scar tissue from around the nerves as he could.  I got a tremendous result from the 2nd surgery and very rarely have a problem with that hand. 

Please make sure a hand certified orthopaedist does your work and choose an OPEN release verses the closed laproscopic.  It's so tight in there and mega nerves that can be damaged with the slightest nick.  The open hurts for a while but it heals up quite nicely.  I had mine 10 years ago and you can hardly see the scars.

Good Morning Janine and Cali,

Yes I am glad that it's friday.  I do feel like I have a handle on things without my prep period but Monday I get my list of kids I have to do IEP's for and that is going to throw a huge curve in things. 

I did ice my back all day off/on at work and it is fine today.  I wish I would have asked that guy to call me and let me know how his sister was.  I couldn't stop thinking about her especially driving past that spot.  I was definitely happy not to have Jordyn in the car.  I agree that I do drive very different with her in the car and think that everyone else becomes the worse drivers in the world.

Well the dinner is this weekend can't wait.  Sorry I won't get to see ya there but maybe Tom's farms or sometime during the holiday.

Good Morning Janine and Cali Friends!

Yay!!!  It's Friday!  I am so glad.  I love how the mural is turning out Janine.  It's just beautiful! 

Jody!!!!  OMG!  I have missed you!  I am sorry you are going through so much.  I hope the docs get you some relief soon.   We have registered Tommy is school by my home.....we are just waiting for them to give us the go ahead.  They do not have Special Day Class there at Dudley Elementary, so I am praying that he can stay in main stream 3rd grade and just come out for Resource!  He will most likely have to come live with me at least during the week, since Dad doesn't think that his car will make it an extra 4 miles a day to my house....but we will make this work!!!  Now if the "wind" doesn't blow in the other direction between now and the time I get him in school we will be fine!

I just want to give this child some stability in his life, as I know that will make all the difference in the world!

Well, I'm sorry I seem to ramble about this, but it's just that important to me.  Look at the time....I need to get!
