interview update
The interviews went well, but I don't know anything yet. This is how it goes...
The first interview was for a part time position in the Players Club with varied shift times. The lady was very impressed with me and said I would be an asset to the company in any department and to take the job that is the best fit for me. She has one more interview on Saturday and then she will make a decision and probably call me by Saturday. I think I might have this one.
The second interview was for a full time position in the Cashier Cage for grave yard shift. They seemed to like me too! They have a lot more interviews to do and said it may take 2 rounds and to be patient with them. I would LOVE this job, but have to get use to the graveyard shift.
So, I need a full time job for the benies. The Players Club lady said they will be hiring full time in October, so I need to know if that means I can bump up to full time if I prove myself to decide whether to take it or not.
The full time position is really looking for someone with casino experience, but all of my cash handling experience impressed them! The thing about that job is that because it is a "key" position involving money handling, they do a VERY intensive background and credit check ~ and my credit is about as BAD as it gets. Not sure if that would keep me from getting the job. They said if you don't hide anything and prove you are working on it, it may not matter, but they are VERY strict.
I did find out that they are putting in a second Cashier Cage and Players Club window so they will be needing to do a lot more hiring very soon. The hiring process here takes about 2 weeks or more to do all the background stuff and gaming stuff!
So, my gut instinct tells me I need to do what it takes to get my foot in the door here. I NEED insurance really bad, hoping my hernias can wait it out, but do I take the part time and hope for the best as I make my way to full time??
Ideas please!!!
Thanks so much for the prayers, good thoughts, vibes, body parts crossed and everything else you did for me!!! YOU ALL ROCK and I'm happy to call you family!!!!!

On another note, I went to Support Group up here today and it was very interesting. Except for the woman who sat next to me who had to make a "wow" or an "oh" or "um hummm" for every sentence the speaker spoke. Geesch.

This one was one of the program coordinators who had WLS surgery 5 years ago had a sudden (semi-rare) complication. She had a bowel obstruction where it was kinked and cut off the blood supply. She had her RNY reversed, only has about 10" of bowel left and now has serious mal-absorbsion. She shared her journey over the last 8 weeks and how she was coping nowl
Laura was there with me in the operating room as they gave me the gas and I said Good Night Gracie. Her smiling face was the last thing I saw before it was lights out. She's been so positive and up beat through out everything. She said if she had to spend the rest of her life with a PIC line and get nutrition intraveinously then so be it. She still wouldn't change a thing.
