1 Down...6 To Go...Makin' Progress!!!

Dang, I'm just feeling so good these days. Yesterday, a nurse came out, and 1 wound is all healed up. She was new to me, I had never had her before...I'm sure she got quite a kick out of me, as I would ask her, "You disinfected this or that before you used it, right?" there are so many stringent cleanliness guidelines to wound care, and my usual nurse has always told me to make sure that this or that is done....literally, when they are done with me, they have gone through about 20 pairs of gloves! Anyway, I digress.....bear with me! She said that from looking at my chart, and seeing me now, she can tell that I am doing so much better!

On Sunday, I tried on a pair of capris that were loose fitting pre-op. They would go on, but not button because of the swelling. Yesterday, they fit, buttoned, and had a little room again!. The swelling has gone down so much, people are telling me that they have noticed a huge difference in me these past few days.

Here is the best news...........yesterday, after a day of being on my feet quite a bit...........no more CANKLES!!!!!!

Now it's just a matter of patience on my part. I can't wor****il the wounds completely heal, and 2 are very deep and will take at least a month to heal. Wish I could go on a vacation. But, with a nurse coming every other day, and having to move the end of Oct. I pretty much have to stick close to the nest.

I hope to post some pics soon...I just want to get these bandages off first, I look like a frickin mummy!!

Janel, I am glad to hear you are doing so much better!!!

Just remember no matter what we do tomorrow is another day and it can only get better!!

They are a 12, but they were too big, as I am a 10. I'm thinking I'm back down to a 10 now, and after more swelling goes, hopefully I'll be in the single digits!!!
