Good Morning All!

I have been crazy busy with work and with this whole football season starting...thank goodness our Cowboys are doing good so far! We had about 330 people for our Monday night game...it was standing room only in the showroom at Dave & Busters! It was fun...but boy was I tired! Whoda thunk that you could make alot of cash watching football...

I am working a few hours this morning, then my DH and I are off to the LA County fair. My son is in band at school, and they are performing tonight at the fair, so that should be fun!

Good Morning All!  I heard from my BBF (That's Best Bald Friend) Joe yesterday.  Seems he woke up in his single cot, stretched looked around and decided to spend the entire day taking care of Joe!  He gathered up his laundry and his bathing gear and headed into town.  He wanted a HOT shower, stopped and got a razor and cream and scraped his head clean, went to the laundromat to do some laundry and had a hot meal!  The other guys were like What?  You're roughing int.  He'd decided he really needed some personal maintenance.  Good For him.  That means I got to talk to him quite a few times yesterday.  Next year I'm going and we're pulling the trailer back (I'm a princess ya know).  Sounds like fun!

I think I have decided my tummy does not like eggs.  The last two times I've had scrambled eggs my tummy has hurt - not a sharp bad hurt - just hurt for quite a while afterwards.  Hmmmm.  I'll lay off them for a week or two or three and see what happens.

I'm off to get my claws sharpened (nails done), feed the beasties (they're out of doggie food) and then to Costco to stock the fridgie for when the Bald Barbarian comes home.  Sure do love that bald man!

Yearbook - now that brings back some memories. I was on yearbook staff all four years of high school and editor my senior year. I loved it. Good luck - I know it's a lot of work.

Your all-or-nothing personality... I've discovered that about myself, too. I'm sure it's a variable in my weight issue equation. For me things have to be perfect, or I don't even deal with them. Like my closet... everything is perfectely organized on the same kind of hanger, color-coded, and organized by garment type (short sleeves to long sleeves), or it's a disaster. Same with eating... I work really hard to not say "screw-it" just because I haven't been perfect.

Just a whole lot of work today... two magazine going out in the same week... ugh! We're in ship-shape though... I just need energy! I see Dr. Q on Saturday. I've been carpooling most days and am loving it even though some of my freedom is taken away on some of my work days. Sure am saving a lot of $ which I can spend at Marshall's or Ross!!! ROFL!

If you've been following the story... My friend's mother did pass after she was disconnected from life support... a blessing in disguise as she had terminal cancer. She was thrown into a diabetic coma... her blood sugar was way too high.. then my friends 'crack-head' sister who doesn't read gave her mother too much insulin which resulted in the diabetic coma. Very tragic and his whole family's in an uproar. This just tops off a very bad year for my friend as one of his sisters passed away at the beginning of the year and he lost his home to foreclosure. He's now considered one of the working poor. Very sad and I worry about him.

May your friend's mother rest in peace, may he find inner peace and may his family find posative function as life returns to them after this tragic loss.  They have a good friend in you...

janine, I can't wait to see the updated progress and you certainitly need to take care of yourself. 

As for me today is Friday and I have a nice 4 day weekend.  I need it.  I am so behind at work, and unfortunately I have brought home a lot of paperwork, but at least I will get it done. 

Time to go relax.
