B12 for your memory.
Women are angels.

We are flexible.

Nay Nay, I can not believe you do not take supplements??? Not wanting to be rude or hurtful  but, Honey, are you crazy????Set a watch, right notes, do whatever you have to do but take them. Or you will run into trouble at one time or another!!

Joy, I do realize this and it does worry me. I need to keep the vitamins at work so when I remember, they are handy.

Thanks for the kick in the ass.....Lord knows I can use a good Ass kicking every now and then.

Hi Cyndi, I don't have a date yet..still working through the process. I am currently trying to lost the 10% pre-op weight that's required and gradually get into a exercise routine. Wow! I am out of shape..lol!

I am going to be good and hopefully stay way...I will do my best at the very least.

Can you tell me a little more about B-12? I noticed a few people mentioning injections. Is that best for post-op? Do you need the doctor to prescribe it to you?

Thanks for sharing your story.  I'll be on the lookout for borderline B12 for sure.

I'm happy you're doing better.

You are very lucky that you caught it soon enough. Have you also had your B1 checked? Deficiency in both B12 and B1 almost killed me and it is a terrible road to be on for recovery. It took them a while to Diagnos me and I had too many tests. By the way these deficiencies can cause mental changes..LOL..it really isnt a good idea to put a crazy woman in a MRI..NOT FUN!!! My family thought that I would have to be placed in a mental hospital for a while. But I slowly got my mind back, well some of it at least. I spent a few months hospitalized and had to have extensive PT just to use a walker. I was bed ridden for a while. I still suffer long term effects from it a year and a half later. Not fun and very painful. Also just as a heads up..I have had to supplement like crazy because of it since I feel ill..I had to have daily shots of both and then tapered down to 1 a month now, BUT even with the shots Im starting to get sick again. I have recently been told that I should be supplementing daily with B1 and B12 ALONG with my shots. Also I am not sure how it works into it all but folic acid is also helpful with these types of deficiencies. I was RXed it to be taken daily then tapered to 2 pills weekly. I hope you get better soon and good luck!!
