Eating habits and otheres....
DH eats what he wants, but carbs are not usually made for dinner. Dinner is usually protein and veggies, altho he did by some Chef BoyRD lasagne for dinner tonight. Just the smell made me want to gag. He also brings in cookies and ice cream when we do grocery shopping. Prior to my surgery he said he was going to stick to our meal plan, but that went out the window about a month after my surgery. I don't worry about what he eats anymore because it's not about me. He's the one who eventually will gain weight and get diabetes and be unhealthy. That's the decision that he's made. As far as other people, we haven't had a meal with friends or family, except for at a restaurant, since my surgery, so we'll have to see what happens. Good topic! =)

Renee,
Wonderful subject, you always amaze me with your thoughts and ideas. Well lets see somethings have changed around here, but some will never change. The most major one is no fast foods. I was a fast food junkie before and I would be embarrassed to honestly tell you what I could eat in the old days. I have 6 children at home ages 14, 10, 6, 4, 1 & 1. All but one was drug exposed (I adopted them) That one is mine and he comes from a very long line of horse jockey's so there is no hope for him every to be big, he is the 14 yo. So needless to say I have to worry about them not putting weight on. Some of you got to meet my son Sean at the IE coffee. He is a skinny minny and I try so hard to get him to eat fattening foods. He prefers fruit and veggies to anything else. All my kids drink whole milk. I put butter or cream cheese on everything they eat. My house is full of cookies, chips, snacks etc. Funny thing though is that I have a fridge in the garage that has my food in it. They want my food! I can't squeeze another think in their fridge and the entire kitchen but they want the few little things I have in mine! NOT FAIR And YEs I want some cheese with this Whine! So I have to accept the fact that in one way at least I am not like my family. And that is o.k. it makes me special. My kids now can read food lables and they check them and tell me if I can have an item. It also takes us 4 hours to go grocery shopping!lol Well enough about me. Thanks for the subject I really enjoy this.

Thanks Rhonda,
I'm glad you enjoyed this topic! It's good that all your kids are growing up with knowing how to make healthy choices! It's really good to start them eating right young!!!
I can TOTALLY hear you on the fast food! I won't TOUCH the stuff.. at all.. even the thought makes me want to gag! So that there is tough on road trips! Can't just hit a drive through anymore! So now, my husband will let me pick!
On the way to Visalia (where his family lives) we ALWAYS stop at the Red Robin, so I can get my lettuce wrapped turkey burger with peper jack cheese and avacado! yummmy!
