Hi everyone!  I'm home and made it out alive, lol!

Thank you Becky for checking in on me, I didn't have my phone on until I was almost out the door and I even told Barry to go home and no visitiors.  I was in pretty bad shape.

I went in at 9 for surgery and came out I think 1:30 so Barry could see me.  It's all very vaugue.  That first afternoon/night was horrific.  And I thought I had a high tolerance for pain but guess not, lol  BUT then again it was the morphine that was making me sick/nauseaus and a headache from HELL.  So, maybe it had more to do with the meds than anythin?

Got home around 2-ish yesterday and have just slept, drank liquids, ate popsicles etc and so far so good, no puking!  Hopefully my "stomach of iron" is still with me, lol

Once I got up and moving, I DID start to feel better but GETTING there was the tough part.

All is well so far.  Finally showered today and that was glorious!  That SMELL!!!  What was that?  The anesthesia?  blech, lol!

I had the most FABULOUS staff tending to everything, and one nurse went above and beyond her call of duty when I was in the worst of pain/crying.  She was the BEST, he name was Dora.  I have to send her a card, she was just amazing.  The entire USC staff is incredible.  :)

But I'm alive and well and glad the majority of the pain is dissapating.  I may take another shower later on too.

Thanks everyone for your well wishes, sorry I haven't popped on but it's been rough.  :)

Hey Christi-

So sorry to hear you had a rough night of it, but very happy to hear you made it through safe and sound.

Miss Becky is indeed an amazing angel! Good luck with continued weight loss and an easy, breezy recovery.

 Any other clear liquid rec's?

I have broths of all flavors, soups that can be strained, sf jello, sf popsicles, juices, water, crystal light.

Barry bought a pack with sf popsicles in it that also had fudgesicles in it, can I have those??  And also a cream center one... But that I thought was a "no" but not sure about the fudge ones.

Any suggestions appreciated :)

I am soooooo glad you're home and doing better!  I am progressing nicely too!  Take it one day at a time, don't pu**** too much and just sleep.  I slept today until noon.  Sleeping and walking are the key to recovery.  Take it easy.  I'm a good one to talk.......I just mopped the kitchen floor!!!!

Glad you're home and you can sit right next to ME on the loser's bench!

Don't tell anyone  but I vacuumed too.  I'm still going strong but had to stick my butt in my chair for a while.  Follow doctors orders, get lots of rest and just chill out!  I did hire a teenager to mow my lawns tho.  No way was I going to do that crap!

Yay!!!!  I am so glad you are home.  Sorry that you had so much pain.  It gets better. I can't beleive it's been almost 8 weeks already for me.  I spent the entire day cleaning. there were so many other things I would have rather been doing.

Welcome to the losers bench.  Make sure you sip, sip, sip and walk, walk, walk.

take care of yourself.

Oh my sweet angelette, I am so glad you are home and starting to feel a little better! I was so worried about you and every time I called and got your voice mail, I didn't want to bother you with my messages. I'm glad you at least had great people taking care of you!
Rest, rest, rest, it is ok, you need to walk too, but resting is fine (no matter what my other angelette, Maureen says!!! lol) I hope it gets better every day for you sweetie!
Remember, you have my phone number if you need anything!!!

Congrats and welcome to the LOSER's bench honey!!!!
