Just so you know- we have a Big Bass Pro Shop being built in Manteca- it is scheduled to open on October 15th.

hijack, Julia I hope that they finish up over there soon. I went over the overpass on Union not realizing that it was closed. Argh. Looking forward to all the new shops. Don't know if you do Satrbucks but the new one on Union is open now. So far they havent been busy at all when I have gone.

Yes, Carrie, I went to the new Starbucks on "Friends and Family" night last Wed. My daughter has worked at the 99 Starbucks for a couple of years, so we know the employees quite well. The new one on Union is closest for me on the way to work.

Julia, Do you work for MUSD? I am at BE this year in a 2/3 LH SDC. So the new Union store is less than a mile from my house and less than a mile from school. I probably know your daughter. I am one crazy lady when it comes to Sbux. The 99 store is my least favorite but when that was all Manteca had I didnt have much of a choice. The new store has been open less than a week and I was greeted this morning with " Oh God its the lady with everything on her cup.lol (that was a new employee) A seasoned Barista from another store perhaps the 99 store ( thought that I recgonized her) steps up and says " probably not the best way to greet a customer" The seasoned Barista rambled off my drink and was correct. Gotta love the ones *****member my drink. I get an Venti iced Americano with sfv, sweet n low, no water , extra ice and a splashof nonfat.

No, I work for an elementary school in Tracy- TUSD. Which school is BE? If you used to go to the 99 store, my daughter was the heavy young girl that did drive through a lot. She's been there 2 years. You would not recognize her now though. She had surgery a year ago and lost 130 pounds. I always get an iced latte decaf with one splenda.

BE is Brock Elliott. It is right there at Daniels near Union right before the union onramp. Is her picture on your profile? I will go take a peek. I can't believe that they opened the new store, please put one in during the Pak n Save/ Safeway conversion, as well as one in the new Lathrop Target. Crazy how many we have available to us. Perhaps that is part of the problem I am having breaking the habit. I have been saying for at least 2 years that I was gonna stop going to Sbux but I cant stay away for more than 2 days. ARGH I am an addict.
