Sooo Much Fun...

Yesterday, Kirsten and I started some fun on the page. I was teasing her about being a fast runner. Much faster then I will ever be, and that is OK. I am the first one to admit I am not a runner. She is, and she is getting better every day. She and I was JOKING around about how Monica and Helen didn’t get a time, because SHE runs fast and Monica and Helen tried to keep up with her. (something I would NEVER try. I am very proud of being slow) I told her she wore them out that first few miles. That is where ITS ALL HER FAULT came from. Monica knew what the joke and the fun was about. Kirsten told her, so she joined the fun, as did others.

Well it seems there are a few that did not take the time to READ the words in whole. They only picked out what they wanted to, took everything the wrong way. In PM’S I was told how rude, inappropriate, crude, and childish and how un-supportive the play was. Those few took the fun out of the boards yesterday, because they past judgment on what we where doing and felt it was there job to slap my hand. (funny how the done this to me and not Kristen) I was told by post since things I/we where running others away. I thought this was the one site that we DID NOT judge others. I guess I was wrong. I guess it ok for them that place themselves much higher then others, feel that its ok for them to judge myself and others.

What I would like to know is how taking about running, and supporting others darning the runs is inappropriate? Or un-supportive?

I am deeply hurt by them calling me un-supportive. HOW DARE YOU!! I believe it people like you that are “running” people away from the boards. IF you check that tread, many, many people read that tread and I bet more then just us 6 or 7 got a laugh out of it. AS was the indented. I bet phone calls where running wild. “Did you read that” I bet they laughed to each on the phone. And when that conversation ended, I bet they both called some else. So on and So on. Do you know what the means? Members of this board where reaching out to each other. Enjoying a good laugh and feeling good about the site.

Its is at this time that I would like to Thank you for the rude, inappropriate, crude and un-supportive remarks you made to me. YOU took the fun out of my day. Then I was on the phone to Kirsten, and that popped her balloon also. I posted that it was a joke, and WOW did you feel even MORE need to let me know what a bad person I was. Thank YOU for being supportive.

Now do not get me wrong a few friends asking PM’s if everything was OK? Period! They didn’t judge, they just wanted to make sure I was ok. As I am sure Kirsten had the same thing from FRIENDS. They took the time to ask, to try to understand, before they past judgment. Then joined the fun. I guess that is why we call them Friends.

Anyway I for one am not going to let others take my fun out of life. OH didn’t see anything wrong with post, (I bet they knew it was in fun) and I will continue to have fun with people on the boards. As I support their growth and learning. And yes their mental health but laughing with us or even at us. I can enjoy laughing at myself and at Kirsten if that is how my days is going. And if you care to join the fun. Please do so. But remember, we WILL poke fun at you, and we expect the same out of you.

This is just my feelings on the subject.

I read the postings with interest (and alot of giggling) yesterday. I ORIGINALLY thought Kirsten had talked you into signing up for a race. She is very persuavise (sorry- sp). But I always knew it was about running. And the closeness you all have between you. I am so sorry that it got all twisted out of shape. I dislike jumping to conclusions, so I work really hard to not do it myself. Take care of YOU!

Awww Leann, you are too kind. I loved that you jumped in and joined the fun yesterday. (I loved it even more when you jumped on my side)

It was fun.

Maybe people are cranky because they can't eat holiday pie anymore??

 ;)

Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon, and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired."

I didn't have time to read all the posts, but I figured it must be some kind of inside joke.  I have to ask, though, what the heck is "holiday pie"?

I was referring to the free pies handed out to random runnners at the finish line of the LB Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day.  It's kind of funny, all these healthy fit runners and walkers reaching the finish line and being congratulated with a pie....on a day that they're going to most likely spend eating a ton of food.

I figured you and Kirsten were joking around and if you weren't eventually you'd beat the hell out of each other, kiss and make up and move on.  Not my business to "scold" you like a child.  That's ridiculous.  OMG everyone needs to dig deep inside and find their sense of humor!!!  I swear, you'll feel 10 years younger if you do!

You are right, laughing is good for the sole. My sole is very happy today.
