Well, as I understood but didn’t want to accept, we had to have our beloved canine, Josie, put down today.
Needless to say I am emotionally distraught.
It was for the best, of course, but you know it is still so hard.
God grant me the strength to hang in there...
I swear, 2008 has been the worst year of my life.

Awww Steve, I'm so sorry. Losing a pet is like losing a family member and it hurts like hell. I'm so sorry you are going through this. Just remember Josie is running and playing pain free with all her friends now. :) She will forever be in your heart and memories.
