Hi Janine!

Thanks for the encouragement and especially the "suck it up" part... I think there's a lot of truth to that!

I'm so there, Scott - I know running does so much for me as far as relieving stress and all that!

 63?!?!??

Classic!  I would bet that those same people would say that one mile is 50!  OR that a 105lb chick is 200lbs.....  awww come on G-Daddy!  Don't let it get to ya!!  I would bet money that they have people say ridiculous ages so that it makes the program even that much better.  NOT to say that you won't look FABUOUS when all is said and done!!

Anyway, about the stress eating.... I was doing it while Mike was gone and finally, after weighing myself one morning and noticing that the LBS had stayed UP for too many days- I sat there and had a good, long talk with myself in the mirror.  I reminded myself that I did not have this surgery for nothing, I forgave myself for making some judgement errors in the way I was eating and made some changes that very day. Do I still have days that I stress eat? Sho do!  Do I sometimes not eat the "best" thing? You betcha sweet arse! But, we are HUMAN!!

I think it would be exciting to have a kitchen remodel! Just think of all the cool stuff you can make when it is all said and done!  Like cookies and brownies and fried chicken.....

Seriously, this too shall pass or something equally poignant.  You get my drift.

Can't WAIT for your show!!!!!!

Hi Vicky!

I'm pretty sure the show was encouraging people to see me as old!

I'm doing a lot of reflecting these days - things were, and prolly can be, so easy. But I get in the way of my success and prolly will have to have that same conversation with myself as you had with you!

Thanks for the encouragement - things are beginning to clear up already!

Welcome to the world of remodel!!!!!!!  This is week 5 for us.  We are having the entire townhouse done:  kitchen and dining room (wall removed to make it all one big room), new appliances and cabinets, granite counter tops, both bedrooms, three baths, all new floors throughout, all rooms painted, ceiling removed, window treatments, all new furniture downstairs.  Basically everything but the two upper bath vanities and tubs.  OMG.  What an ordeal to do it ALL at once, but it's looking pretty fab-O!!!!!

I cooked up a ton of meals that I put in freeze lock bags so I have meals made ahead to put in the microwave.  Harris Ranch already cooked entrees from Costco are a blessing too.  Bought some fresh lettuce and veggies, lots of paper plates and bowls.  Feels like we have been on a very long, extended camping trip!!!!  I BBQ on the gas grill lots of nights.

Only the cat seems phased by it all - HA!  My designer and contractor have both appeared on HGTV so I have a movie star crew!!!!!!  Nice eye candy if I do say so myself - HA!  In fact if you can catch it, my contractor appears on 25 Biggest Renovation Mistakes on HGTV, check the listing for times.

Good luck Gene and family.  It will be worth it when it's done.  Cheers, Debbi

Good luck on your remodel.  Now we just need to win the lotto!!!!!!!!

Cheers,
Debbi

Hi Debbi! I hear you on the lotto thing! I wanted to just tear my house down and start from scratch, but with the market the way it's been I'm too chicken. We'll do the kitchen, then the bath, then who knows.

Congrats on finding a great designer and contractor - it took me months to get things going because I was trying to decide on a contractor. I think we're gonna do just fine!

Good luck with your remodel, as well, Debbi!
