Happy TGIF Cali and I mean that sincerely!
Janine- thanks for the shout out . The person who made the big as hell comment was the guy (Greg) that I am seeing, not my cousin. No wedding bells just yet. He has a lot going on with his life. So it is wait and see. Sorry to hear you being behind in your schedule.
Not a lot going on with me. Work on Saturday and a 6 mile run on Sunday.

Thanks for the great shoutout, Janine! I certainly had a few blue days. Thanks for addressing them and bringing my head back to center. Don't you just hate it when your head takes a trip to east hyperspace?!?
We went kayaking! It was one on my “I’d like to be able to do after WLS” list. We had a blast! Went up the river about a mile then back down which was plenty for the first time! My arms felt like rubber afterwards. Lol We saw fish jumping, mergansers, a kingfisher, great blue heron, great egret, sandpipers, california seagulls, heerman seagulls, turkey vultures and a raven. Next time I'll bring the camera. DH already wants to buy a kayak. I think we should try singles before deciding to buy a tandem.
I was so tired after kayaking, I slept 3 hours. Then I managed to get in the rest of my 10k steps. It took me until 1AM. LOL
I’m still having trouble feeling queasy. I switched dinners 3 times before I found something that didn’t make me want to puke. Eating is no longer fun. Renee says that will change and I trust that's true. I'm still waiting! lol However, with the kayaking and walking and general body shifting I'm back down to 229.8. Yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Heading down again.
Have a great day everyone!
Hugs,

Other than my gripes, there are some good things going on with me. I passed my interview and got my 2nd job at a Preschool as a Student Assistant.

Have a Fun Friday everyone and a beautiful safe weekend!!!

"Sometimes Losing Is Really Winning!" And, being me is F-A-B-U-L-U-O-U-S!!!!!! by Me
Good Friday morning to all.
I am so glad it is friday. Doug is working all night again, but if he gets called out, it's big bucks time, and boy do we need it. He needs to work hard so I can continue my habit of loving to buy clothes. Of course being a smaller size really helps. I ended up just last week and 2 new skirts and 6 or more new tops. (kinda lost count) Ihaven't worn a skirt since I was in high school. They didn't allow pants to school in the days when I went, you know the stone ages! It's been alot of fun.
I have been busy taking care of my sister since I got home. We finally got a brain storm yesterday, why don't we rent her a wheelchair. She is finally able to get herself around her house. But it really has been fun being with her. We have really bonded, and for me it has been good. She is really luck to have a cool older sister like me anyway.
Now it's off to the pain management doc, or my local drug pusher as I call him. I want off some of these meds he is giving me. They aren't working so why take them. Then off to physical therapy.
So here is a funny story that happened to Doug and I this morning. He work about 0610, and so did I. I asked him, why was it so dark at 6. He said he didn't think it was yesterday. I have several clocks in the bedroom. One is a hour slow, so I said, well it's only 5. Then I looked at another one I had, and for some reason, it was 1206 on that one. Then his said 0610. So I finally turned on the tv. The times was right, it was after 6, and he just never realized it was getting darker in the morning. But we first thought we were in the twilight zone. I even had him pinch me, I thought we were both dreaming. Maybe this didn't come out funny, but we looked like two idiots this morning.
See those at the coffee tomorrow morning, and then I don't know what the rest of the day consists of, but I will just go with the flow. More fun to be spontaneous.
Hugs 2 all those teachers, and to those parents who are very happy the kids are back into school.
Hugs to everyone else....Diane
JANINE AND ALL YOU WONDERFUL CALI PEEPS
I JUST THOUGHT I WOULD POP IN TO LET YOU KNOW I AM STILL AROUND AND READING..
I WENT TO THE NEW DR. HE'S A RHEMATOLOGIST
AND HE TOOK A LOT OF BLOOD AND ASKED A LOT OF QUESTIONS AND DID A LOT OF POKING AND BENDING AND SO ON.
WELL HE IS THINKING FIBROMYALGIA AND ARTHRITIS. WELL I KNOW I HAVE ARTHRITIS AND OSTEOPENIA BUT I GUESS THE CROHNS CAN CAUSE FIBRO.... YEA.. WHAT NEXT.
HE PUT ME ON PREDNISOME AND CYMBALTA AND CELEBREX AND TOOK ME OFF MY LEXAPRO.... ABSOLUTELY REFUSES TO GIVE ME PAIN MEDS. SAYS I MUST GO TO THE DR. THAT PRESCRIBED IN THE FIRST PLACE. OMG SO I MIGHT BE GOING THERE TODAY. THAT IS IF HUBBY MAKES IT HOME IN TIME.
I HAVE FOUND THAT I NEED MORE PAIN MEDS THEN BEFORE MY SURGERY FOR IT TO WORK. IT'S LIKE I DON'T ABSORB AS WELL AS I DID BEFORE.
I DON'T WANT THE DR. TO THINK I AM HOOKED AS THE ONLY THING THAT HAPPENS IF I DON'T HAVE IT IS I AM IN PAIN AND TEARS... I AM HOPING THAT THE NEW MEDS WILL HELP OUT SO I DON'T HAVE TO TAKE AS MUCH.OF THE OTHER PAIN MED.
WELL TIME IS LIMITED FOR MY HANDS SO I AM OFF. I JUST WANT YOU ALL TO HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND AND ENJOY EVERY SEC. OF IT.
TAKE CARE EVERYONE

Second, Jodi PLEASE, PLEASE be careful taking Celebrex!!! My Surgeon took it away from me. He says it could cause real problems with the pouch. And why, didn't it try Lyrica(sp) for the fibromyalgia.
I take timed-released morphine daily...and getting hooked is the very last thing I worry about. My pain is that of a terminal cancer patient. So, I just don't care as long as my Dr keeps my pain at a livable level. Auto-Immune diseases suck !!!! HUGS!!
I know I could go on forever but...I have a picnic to go to tomorrow and I have to make a dessert for the auction. This will be a first, not being able to even sample it AHHHHHH!!!! I am make the most disgusting Chocolate Orange Truffle Cake with whipped cream topping.

Hugs to all
JOY
FINALLY SOMEONE THAT UNDERSTANDS.. I THINK HE DECIDED ON CELEBREX OVER THE LYRICA AS LYRICA HAS A 30 PERCENT HAIR LOSS RATE.. NO I HAVE NO IDEA WHY HE SAID THAT BUT I ONLY HAVE ABOUT 7 STRANDS OF HAIR THAT ARE DOWN TO THE MIDDLE OF MY BACK. THIS WHOLE FIBRO THING IS ALL NEW TO ME. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE EVER SEEN THIS KIND OF A DR. AND HE HAS TAKEN BLOOD AND DONE XRAYS AND I SEE HIM AGAIN ON THE 15TH OF THIS MONTH. THEY ARE NOT SURE WHAT CAUSED IT, IT COULD BE MY CROHNS OR MY ARTHRITIS GETTING WORSE. BUT I JUST HAD A TOTAL BLOW OUT AND I AM NOT SURE WHICH NEW MED DID IT. I WAS TOLD THAT CELEBREX WAS ONE OF THE SAFER ONES BUT HE ONLY WANTS ME TO TAKE IT IF I NEED IT. NOW THE PREDINSOME AND CYMBALTA IS ALL NEW TOO. HE TOOK ME OFF MY LEXEPRO THAT I HAVE BEEN ON FOR 3 YEARS AND PUT ME ON THAT.AND ONE OF THE TWO MEDS IS PUTTING ON WEIGHT... LOVELY AFTER 4 YEARS IT WAS JUST STARTING TO COME OFF AGAIN... OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE IT.... THEN I WAS SUPPOSE TO SEE MY DR THAT GIVES ME MY PAIN MEDS AS I SEEM TO HAVE TO TAKE MORE AND I SWEAR IT'S OUR SYSTEMS NOW AFTER SURGERY.. WELL HIM NOT BEING A GASTRIC DR. DOESN'T BELIEVE WE DON'T ASORB THE SAME RATE.. BUT I WAS ALREADY TO GO SEE HIM TODAY AND THEN THEY CALLLED AND SAID HE WAS TAKEN OUT ON EMERGENCY..WELL ISN'T THAT A SLAP IN THE FACE.. IT'S FRIDAY AND THE WEEKEND WILL BE WONDERFUL.. OK MY MOOD SWINGS FROM THE NEW CYMBALTA IS SHOWING.. THEY SAY CYMBALTA IS GOOD FOR DEPRESSION AND FIBROMYALGIA... OH MY GOODNESS... WHAT A MESS...
THANKS FOR HELPING ME OUT AND GIVING ME THE ADVICE.. FUNNY THING WITH MY POUCH... THEY JUST 4 MONTHS AGO FOUND 3 ULCER IN IT AND I AM ON PREVICDE AND CARRAFATE... I AM ON SO MANY DIFFERENT KINDS OF MEDS I'M NOT SURE THEY ARE ALL WORKING ANYWAY.
TAKE CARE AND HAVE AN AWESOME WEEKEND. AGAIN THANKS FOR READING MY POST.
MUCH LOVE
