Surgery is postponed

Your boss might not like you missing work, but once you do get this surgery, he will be happy that you won't miss so much work. You should apply for FMLA, this covers your own illness.  Hang in there, I had to wait 3 years and it was worth waiting, because now I am a looser........LOL

I feel your pain!  My surgery date was 8/20.  But one week before my PCP was going thru all my tests and my mammo showed "something" that needed further testing.  She would not clear my for surgery until this was resolved.

I have since had other tests and everything is ok.  My new date is 9/18, the waiting is making me crazy.

I would never call my heart stupid, I am glad I have one and it's beating pretty good, most of the time.  Listen I have had heart problems for 3 years now, and I am happy that they make me go through every test in the world before surgeries.  Heck I had major orthopedic surgeries within 5 months of each other, and I needed clearance every time.  So take heart, it really is for your own good. 

As far as running up insurance company bills, I really don't care,  we pay almost 13,000 a year for health insurance through my hubby's work, and for my last 5,000 surgery they paid the out patience office 800 bucks, I never feel sorry for the insurance company, no matter how much of them I use, they are still making money off of me.

Also check out FLMA, maybe your boss needs to hear about it too.  So take heart, things all happen for a reason.

I KNOW, the list could go on..... hahaha!!

We'll see what happens.  Surgeons office isn't ready to cancel the surgery just yet, they want to see if the Cardiologist can get his act together and read the tests by Friday.  So we'll see.  :)  They're going to bat for me for sure.  :)
