Here and needing help

I am here and need help getting assistance. Not sure my previous post made it on or not. I am hearing MediCal is not going to cover WLS no more... True or False? I called general info number to apply for help but she never called me back so going to call again tomorrow. Can anyone advise what to do? Thanks!

No... moved back home to Cali Aug. 20th. I am trying to get either back to work or some assistance although work would be hard because my legs and feet swell terribly.

My ankles swell really bad also......but I have to work.....

It is not just my ankles. I am so sorry yours swell too. I hate when they get so round and my feet look like little balls and can't fit nothing. I have had multiple blood clots in my legs. I have worked to the best of my ability. I have been let go though recently because i had to take time off for too much illness. Can't help it... have a good day!

I am sorry I dont know the answer to your question but I really hope that they don't stop.   It is an investment and in my opinion I think the surgery should be made available to all people who meet the criteria.    It has saved my life and my children will be better off for it.   Good luck!

Right now you aren't going to get many answers and for sure no help because California has NO budget. Medi-cal is backed a  few million dollars right now, it will take them the rest of the year to dig out of this mess.
I don't want to burst your bubble but those are the hard cold facts for now anyway.
I know it is a real pain dealling with all this but hang in there I know someone that had to wait over 2 years before getting approved.
Just remember to dot your i's and cross your t's when you fill out any of your paper work.

A friend of mine has medi-cal and she's getting ready for surgery. She is getting the lap-band done.. Theres no back up with her....its moving along pretty fast. The only thing is that they are making her do the supervised diet for 3 months, not the usual 6..
