Lisa they have Greek yogurt at Trader Joes. Make sure you get the one that 0% fat...I add Splenda and a 1/4 of some berries...it is super yummy and VERY filling!

Trader Joe's has greek yogurt and it also has the BEST cottage cheese too!

Don't worry about not losing weight, you are only 5 weeks out of surgery, your body is going through MAJOR changes.. It needs time to catch up with itself.   As long as you are following your Dr's instructions, the weight WILL come off.

As for liquids.. it's extremely hard to get them all in, in the begining.  Just do the best you can..  Also, try some sf popscicles!  They work wonders!

Take care,

Mornin' all!

Just a quickie for me as I am off to pack a few more boxes. I am trying to get at least a few boxes packed everyday all month so we don't have to scramble later.

Good luck to all the teachers heading back to school today, you guys rock!

I hope EVERYONE has a great day!

Morning,

What a great week I had last week.  Doug and I left on Wed morning for San Diego and spent 5 nights at my friends house.  Of course if we had left on Tues night, my wallet would have not be stolen and I would not be in a nightmare right now.  Things will all work out tho.  Just need to call the 3 credit bureaus now.

We attended our nephews wedding in San Diego Sat night.  What a great wedding it was and Dougs sisters did a beautful job doing things themselves.

Well off to jump start my dads car.  Then off to care for my poor sister who will be in a cast for another 3 weeks.  I don't know how I am doing with my arm, still in pain, but who is going to take care of things around this place??  At least the pink eye is gone.

Love to all, Diane

Good LATE morning, everyone ... I finally dragged myself out of bed about half an hour ago against my will. I am in a moooood today and I do not want to do anything except lie on the couch all day with my laptop and the remote. BUT ALAS! I had a four-day weekend and now it's over! I have to go to the doctor today ... My PCP moved to San Jose so today I am going to see his replacement, just for med refills and to see if she wants to send me for bloodwork to find out if I am anemic ... I've been wondering because I've been exhausted and lethargic lately. My Lt. reminded me last week that this is about the time (four months out) when the body starts to show the strain resulting from the loss of calories and nutrients that it is used to.

I am trying to focus on getting my protein in and I thought that would help with the energy but so far it doesn't seem to be making a difference. I wonder if it would be cheaper for me to just get some iron supplements and take those for a while and see how I feel. I was told that I would need bloodwork when I was six months out, so instead of asking them to do it early, maybe I'll just keep up the protein and try the iron and wait out the two months. I'm going to tell the doctor how I'm feeling, though, and I'll do whatever she thinks I should do.

I have to head to work after the appointment ... If I'm in my usual spot, I shouldn't really have to deal with anyone. Maybe I will be able to get thru my shift ***if*** I can just be left alone to do my work. I pretty much know that'll never happen ... But I can hope, right?!?
In remembrance of my mom, for always and forever ... Patricia Alice Harkey, 04/19/56-02/10/08 ... I love and miss you every moment of every day, Patty Cake.

Good Morning Janine and California!

I had a superb weekend because I met my Labor Day Goal Weight!  Woohoooo!  On to my Halloween goal one step at a time.

It was a blissfully quiet weekend otherwise.  I hope you all have a great day!

Good Morning Janine & Everyone,
I guess it is almost afternoon. Yesterday was a biotch, I went to my parents to pick the plums and tomatoes and found that the gigantic tree in the back yard had fallen over. Now since we havent had any high winds I check and it had root rot. I had to rescue two 75-100lb cactus that were being squashed. That was fun lifting, moving branches, twisting and pulling, but I did it. The 3rd cactus well I couldnt get to it for nothing. Luckily the Staghorns that weight about 300lbs each are ok, cause I couldnt do nothing for them. So needless to say when I got home from that I was exhausted, ate lunch and laid down for a little nap. Woke up 3 hours later, guess I was tired, lol. Of course that made it hard to fall asleep last night. I didnt want to get out of bed this morning and moved slow once I did. I have 2 appointments today if it wasnt for them I dont think I would be dressed. I was a good girl and did my exercise, although sometimes I wonder why, I just cant lose these last 13lbs. I like to tell myself it is all skin, but I doubt it is.
I should find out today if my orientation for work actually starts on the 8th. I have several things I want to do around the house before it starts, so the next few days will be busy. Then hopefully I will be earning a paycheck again.
Oh well off to the Drs. Good luck to all the teachers!!!!!!!!Everyone have a good day. Be good to yourselves and those around you!!!!
