My appt to (hopefully) get my referral is on September 30th...then I go to the surgeon for a consultation and do whatever I need to. I have already done a medically supervised diet (twice, actually) and have gained every pound back

At least it is out of the way since the referring doctor almost always requires it, I have heard.
I will be around here thru my process soaking up the inspiration! Someday soon I hope to become someone's inspiration myself.

Welcome to OH and the Cali board!! You will love it here and you WILL be someone's inspiration some day and believe me, it is an undescribable feeling when someone (you may not have ever seen) tells you that you are their inspiration!!! It feels great to "pay it forward" in any way you can!!!
