Getting ready for Surgery on Tues.
Hi Gina! Wow, how exciting! I'm almost a year out and can well remember my growing excitement and happiness at knowing I was almost there!! I brought a pillow for the ride home, like Janine said, I live close to the hospital, but it sure feels good to put it between you and the seat belt. Honestly, I'd also bring a comfy pillow from home for the actual hospital stay. My hospital was great except for the rocks that they call pillows. I had a headache by the time I left and think I would've cried if they told me I had to stay longer. Chapstick is good, and that's pretty much it, they'll supply everything else! Have a great surgery and you'll be fine!! xo Kim
Wishing you the best of luck with your surgery and a speedy recovery! I also took very little. I took my toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, and a couple sets of comfortable (stretchy) clean clothes. I was able to shower the day after my surgery and it felt good. I think it helped me to feel more like walking which there is going to be alot of. Be sure to let us know how you are doing.
Gina,
I am using your post to know what to pack! lol
Dont forget to come find me in the hospital so we can take walks to get out of there faster!
