This itchy belly is killing me...

I posted this earlier and it disappeared.   Just wondering if anyone else had major itching all over their stomach after having the RNY.  Mine was done Lap and I expected the incision sites to itch but my whole stomach itches.   I thought about putting a moisturizing lotion on but still have the steri strips and don't wanna take a chance on them coming off too early.   Anyone else have this too?

 

Can you take Benadrel?  It might help with the itching.

I could if I didn't have my two boys here.   It would knock me out... but I can do it tonight for sleep.   Thanks for the suggestion.  :)

Hon, it could be the strips that is causing it.
I am horribly allegic to all tape.

Today isn't a good day. Has nothing to do with WLS. But with my Interstitial Cystitis (bladder disease) is flared up. And I haven't learned what will get it under control since surgery. I have also ran out of my normal pain meds...I contribute that to brain fog from WLS. Dr office closed from Thurs-Tues. And it is a triplicate script has to be written every month. But as far as my WLS  and how I am doing Great. Still dealing with fatigue but I think some of that has to do with my meds.

I feel great but I am noticing I don't have that get up and  go I had right after the surgery.   Still trying to keep movina as much as possible.   I wanna maximize this weight loss.  I ran out of the protein drinks I was drinking day before yesterday and was unable to get out to get more and I think today being Sunday all those stores are closed soooo i went back to the protein powder I had before surgery.   Don't like the taste but Hey  I need the protein.  Not drinking it yesterday may be the reason for me not having my energy today.

I don't know if you had any children yet, but just like when your skin stretches out, when it shrinks it itches!  I take Zertec instead of Benadrel because it is drowsy, and also as long as you put a good lotion on it will help.

I notice when I itch, I am losing inches, and then the scale will show weight loss!

Thank you for the info Annabelle.   I sure hope you are right for me too and if you are by all means it can itch away lol. 

Well I think you have fleas!!!! Okay really only kidding! I do not know what is causing your itching...could be a combo of a lot of things people have said Shells. I am sure it will go away, but I would go the Zrytec way myself and hopefully it will take care of it!
