I am not really a fish eater so this is going to be a tough one for me.  I looked through the menu and this is what I am thinking.  I doubt if I can eat all of it, but what do you think of the choice

  Deep Sea Scallops(Red Lobster)
Serving Size: 5 oz; Calories: 130, Total Fat: 2g, Carbs: 2g, Protein: 26g
  New England Clam Chowder(Red Lobster)
Serving Size: 1cup; Calories: 130, Total Fat: 5g, Carbs: 12g, Protein: 2g
Thanks so much,

Rhonda

I am sure shrimp is delicious, but I had a bad experience (long story) in New Orleans with shrimp, so I don't think I could.  The only other things I like fish wise is Lobster, but that is no good without the butter. I know those shrimp coctails look beautiful though.  Do you think what I picked up above is a bad choice?  Let me know and thanks for the post.  Rhonda

I'd go for the following appetizer - with NO sauce (that's where the carbs, sugars, and empty calories are - besides, I don't want you to dump in public.  I am almost 3 1/2 years out and I dump on ****tail sauce, catsup, bbq sauce, etc as my friends can tell you!) You will probably only be able to eat 1/2 to one whole shrimp at your early stage.  The rest will last you a week!!!

Chilled Jumbo Shrimp ****tail

Six jumbo shrimp served with our signature ****tail sauce. $8.25

Or - the broiled fish on the kid's menu and give all the extra stuff to those with you!!

Hey my little angelette...how come you're going to Red Lobster if you're not a fish eater?  lol  Did you lose a bet?

Personally, I'd go for the scallops, YUM! Great protein!  Clam chowdah, not enough protein for me...Have fun and remember to eat slow, don't drink any water before or after, takes up valuable space and moves the food thru too quickly...nag nag nag  Kim

I think that looks good.

Last time I went to RL, I chose a grilled lobster tail and shrimp thingy. It was yummy. I passed on the drawn butter and asked for steamed veggies instead of a spud.

Be careful with the clam chowder , it is one thing I can't eat anymore.. I know I can be very sensitive to lactose.  If you do go for it.. go very very slow!

The scallops sound like a much better option. You will probabally barley be able to eat 1.

Good Luck!  I hope you find something you like!

Hi,

The scallops taste awesome and once you get a bit further out, Red Lobster will give you half portions on request on any main menu meal. Enough for dinner one night and leftovers.
