Iron
Listen to Darlene is all I can say. I do not take traditional Iron....I use something that is called Proferrin that my doc friend recommended to me when my iron dipped to a 5 after all the reconstructive surgery. It does not work for everyone at least what people have said....but it brought my levels back up enough that I did not have to have infusions and that is all I care about.
How are you doing otherwise Anabelle?

I am doing fine. I just wanted to make sure that this Iron I am taking is working. My Iron levels did go up last time I did my blood work. I have my 6 month check up on 10/14/08.
Thanks for asking,

Hi sweetie, I am fighting the low iron battle. I ended up in the hospital a week ago and needed a blood transfusion. My hemoglobin was 6.5 and had iron issues before my RNY in 2005. My dr has me on some serious iron. Liquid, over the counter at the pharmacy, 324mg three times a day. Hope it works, may be way too much for you. Have you had anemia in the past or any iron issues before?
