Do Eggs and/or coffee make you gassy?

Just curious. I have recently added eggs into my tuna salad for some more protein but I am finding that I feel kind of gassy inside since I've been eating eggs. I don't think I ever notice when I eat scrambled eggs, so I am just wondering if anyone else feels like this with eggs?

And what about with coffee? I start feeling the same gassy feeling if I drink one of the SF Vanilla Iced Coffee's from McD's. I don't do it everyday, but when I do, I feel it. Anyone else?

April,

I had gas no matter what I ate when I was at your stage.  So I cannot help you there.

Be careful with those iced coffees.  Caffine (sp) is supposed to make us hungier.
Just get some of those Gas-X strips, and you should be okay.

Hey Kim! I was recently on there and met a couple guys.  I'm actually seeing someone from there right now, not sure if I wanna take it long term though.  I'm liking the single life a little.  He took me to the Raiders Game last Saturday.

Have fun with it!!

Honey - water makes me gassy! LOLOL  Seriously, it (along with constipation) are the two most annoying challenges I face since WLS.  I have found that chewable gas x (the strips didn't work so well for me) and plenty of clear fluids in a day make a big difference.  I have also found that when the 'regularity' issue is troublesome, the gas situation tends to be worse.  So I am trying to get myself on a regular regimen of Colace every day to manage that better.

Cathy recently I was facing the constipation issue bad. No amount of coloace or MOM was helping me to get regular until I came across this stuff called "colon cleanse" at Trader Joes. It is a fiber supplement and I have been regular ever since. It does not bother my stomach like colace does either and it is cheaper! If you go to a pharmacy do not get confused because they also sell a laxative too. This is the exact name of it and it has a graphic on the front (simple) in green and white...no frill design. Well worth it!

Warm coffee from the beginning stages of my WLS had me severely gassy, but I kept drinking it because I love it!  Iced coffee doesn't do that to me.  Also, any veggie other than lettuce makes me gassy.  Dairy has always made me gassy.  A close friend of mines ended up having IBS (irritable bowel syndrome).  She like her coffee too.  It made her miserably gassy.  Hope this helps.
