Hi- Newbie here!
Hello everyone! I have been hanging around this site for the past couple of weeks and getting some great information. All the photos and blogs are quite inspiring!! I have just started my journey about a month ago... changing my diet and going through all the pre-op testing. When my Dr. reccommended the RNY surgery, I was 274 lbs. I am now 254.... and counting down... yay!!! I am having a lot of anxiety about being approved though. I have wanted this for over 3 years now, and didn't know how to go about the process. So when my Dr. brought it up, I said "you don't have to ask me twice!!!" I'm in!! I am finding though that some people in my life are not as supportive as I had hoped. I get the old 'you don't need it' routine almost every day. When they walk in my orthopedic shoes... then they can talk!!! LOL... Anyway... hope to learn a lot from you guys.... wish me luck in getting approved!!!! Thanks for listening!

Hey Debi...welcome to the Cali boards! WOW that is so cool that you are losing and you have a PCP *****commends you have the surgery. You are well on your way to living a healthy lifestyle. Good luck seeking insurance approval!! Keep posting and reading and become a part of this great place!

Welcome to the Cali boards!! You will find lots of help and support here. The main thing to remember with the unsupportive people is with WLS you are doing it for YOU, no one else. Best of luck in your process!!!
