OT: Doggy foster care?

Hey all!

An unfortunate side effect of our moving time line getting screwed up (landlord here decided he wants to renovate so we have to move by Oct 6, and we don't have enough in the bank for that yet!) is that we are going to have to stay with my best friend for a few months while we look for a place up north. Problem is, her landlord won't allow our dogs!!

I am wondering if any of you know of someone who might be willing (or would be willing yourselves) to foster our dogs for 3 maybe 4 months until we find our own place? We have two basset hounds, so someone who is familiar and comfortable with dogs is a must, as they are NOT your average dog (LOL)! Both of our dogs are well behaved around other dogs, and kids, Ruby tends to bug the cats, but its interest and not aggression on her part (of course, it can be hard for the cats to tell the difference!)

I emailed a basset rescue group in the bay area to see if they might have any resources in their area, but I have not heard back yet, and I don't want to to wait until the last minute to figure this stuff out!

E-mail me if you know anyone or are interested yourself, we would (of course) be covering all doggy related expenses and might be able to offer a small extra compensation for the foster home as well. Both our dogs are pretty well behaved, house broken, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated, fixed, and super sweet.

Thanks guys!

Hi Shells,

I wish I could do it.  I was a vet tech for a number of years and love dogs especially bassets.  I am in an apt though and I can't do it.  I will however check with a girlfriend of mine that may be able to help you out.  I will send you a PM tonight
