I loooooove venison and elk, and now that my dad isn't here, I miss it so much...he was an avid hunter! What time is dinner???? hee hee..........

I'm not sure what I'm having....people from my church are bringing me meals for the week, and I thought I'd freeze some and save it for later. I'm going to be off of my feet for a few weeks, and don't want to be eating fast food.

My sister made me a yummy tamale pie from an Eating Light magazine last night.........it was so good...but I have to be very careful to not overeat at all....when you are all stitched up, if I do overeat, I am one miserable person. One night at the hotel last week, I only ate 1/2 bowl of tortilla soup, and maybe 1/2 of an empanada..........I felt so uncomfortable I wanted to take a pain pill!!!

Janine's dinner sounds so refreshing!

Ohh you poor thing!  Definately take care of yourself.. don't want to bust your stitches!!! I'm glad people are taking care of you and feeding you well!!!

I'm lucky.. I have a hunter husband AND father!  Next year they are going on a big hunt together! So hopefully that means a full freezer!!!  We'll have to get together and I'll share!  :-)

Feel better darlin!!!!

I'm going through the same thing!  I have so many internal (and external) stitches- it feels like no food fits- everything is too tight!

I'm glad to see you doing well and at home!

Chicken thigh with SF orange marmalade, madarin oranges, fresh 'shrooms and some ginger, all thrown in the crock pot!  Made it last Friday and froze it in individual portions.

i'm with you Julia.  LOL  I love seeing the meal ideas for later but tonight I mixed a 2.5oz jar of Beef baby food along with 2 oz of pureed carrots and about a tablespoon of mashed potatoes,  I was able to get 1/2 of that down

But it's better than Jello.

Hang in there!!!
