Gettin' the board thing down!

Aloha!  Well, its taking me awhile but i'm finally figuring out some stuff about the message board and the mechanics of posting, pix and replies!  I hope I'm better at post-op than I am at computer stuff!  Thanks to all *****plied!  As soon as I figure out how to add friends, I'll be in business! LOL  Took my husband to figure out the pix deal!  I have my Dr talk and nutriton appt this week, and I believe they'll submit to insurance after that.  I have Tri-Care and only hear the WORST about their speed.  Hoping for a surgery date soon!  Bless you for all I get to read about!  you help more than you know.

I also used Dr LePorts office.  They are so wonderful in that office.  I had Dr. Chin but I would have chose any of them, they have a great reputation.  I wish you the best of luck and I can't wait to see you post the date

I have been told that with non emergency referals they have 7 days to approve or deny. I am not 100% but that is what I was told. I have also met several people on these boards that Tricare was very quick with. I wish you the best of luck. I go to my PCP on Wednesday to seek a referral. Tami

Good Luck with your PCP!!  I pray for the best outcome.  In Hawaii, my pcp was against any kind of surgery as an option.  Not for me per se, but in general.  If I hadn't come here I don't think I would have been able to get this done.    If you have problems with your PCP get another one!!  There are supportive Dr's in the system!   I didn't know that, and I let him talk me out of it for 2 yrs, while my diabetes got worse and my weight fluctuated. 
Several wives and family had the surgery at our command, I just got the wrong guy for me.  I hope you do well, and I'll be watching for your surgery date!
