Ramon, We are the lucky ones to be able to hear your story and totally relate to it. We all have similar struggles...It hit me when you said that your "murdered your best friend" meaning the death of "FOOD"...and that is how I felt after surgery for the first 3 months, I sobbed for a month straight with my mother by my side offering words of encouragement. I no longer had food to comfort me, what a loss! As you continued to talk, I found myself engaging more and more with you as I could relate with just about everything that you said...and mostly with the addiction replacement, I have gone from food, to shopping, to sex, to alcohol, and now to food again. I found strength in your message, and I too carry the pebble...soon to be a "rock" one day! I hope to be an inspiration like you for others, and share my message as you have. I felt compelled to hug you afterwards and hope that you weren't put off...I wanted to have a little bit of your inspiration rub off on me...

PS< Tell Debra I enjoyed playing Texas Hold Em with her...maybe again one day at another OH event!

Posts like yours are the reason I go to these events unpaid.. I live to read posts like yours because it makes me realize that all the crap that I have been through was not in vain..   I have been through so much in my life that a lesser man would have probably committed suicide (not that I didn't try but it just wasn't my time)  I hope that you do become a rock and help others.. Then I know that I will have done my job..

I told Debra and she said she enjoyed it too.. I would love to see people travel to other events.. I am actually speaking in Los Angeles and San Ramon in the coming months..
