Dr. Cirangle in San Luis Obispo for VSG??

Hi,

Has anyone in the central calif used Dr. Cirangle (around the San Luis Obispo area) or does everyone go to the bar area for the procedure.  Also, how much does he charge for the procedure in San Luis Obispo? (I noticed their banner ad says San Luis Obispo)

I know 2 people who have had surgery with dr. cirangle.  My cousin, and she had the ds maybe 3 years ago and a friend who had the rny 5 years ago.   Both thru SF tho.  I haven't heard anything about San Luis Obispo.

I work in SLO and don't know of any surgeon that does any WLS in this area. I know Dr. Felix out of Fresno has seminars and consults here but surgery and 1 year follow up are in Fresno. Also, Dr. Thoman out of Santa Barbara used to have seminars here. I don't know if he still does. He does surgery in SB. I do not know about Dr. Cirangle. I would suggest calling his office and asking.

Try asking, if you haven't already, over on the VSG forum http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/vsg I know quite a few fellow VSGers that have had Dr. Cirangle...not sure of anyone in San Luis Obispo though, maybe he does follow up care there??

He see's patients there at another Dr's office, but all of his surgeries are in the bay area.  If you go on his website they list the hospitals they work in.   I think they do surgery in a hospital in Monterey which is a little closer to San Luis Obisbo.

 

They has satellite offices all over so you can do your follow-up care there, if it's closer. They do surgeries at 4 hospitals in the area (and a few in Hawaii) but most self-pays end up at CA Pacific Medical Center because the have a good deal for self-pays there.
