OT: Idea's need plz......Input wanted.........
Good morning Cali Crew,
As some of you may know or may not know. I will be turning 30
at the end of Oct. Now to me that is very old, but I know it really isn't. I have herd that 30's are the best years of your life. but to be honest I think every year of your life is the best. Ok so moving on, So my whole thing is that I want to have a party for myself, but not only will it be my birthday it will be my 1 yr surgiversary a week later. So I was thinking of doing a birthday/celebration party/dinner. So what I am asking is were would be a good place to have something like that? I want it to be central enough for all my fellow OH family to be able to come. And then the second question is what would be a better day to do it Friday night or Saturday night? So I would love some responses.
Thanks everyone,
Willa

Hi Willa
Lets see....a Saturday allows people to come without being rushed after work or catch traffic. It also allows people to have a day to rest after all of the dancing and ... whatever else will be done. So it should be a Saturday.
Where is a much harder question? There are too many variables you have to consider. How many people are you expecting/inviting, are there hotels/motels in the area for those that drive a distance to attend, day or night affair, catered or pot luck, indoors or outdoors? These are some of the variables you have to consider.
Rossana and I will not be able to attend as we will be in Spain at the end of October. Good luck and best wishes.

P.S. You are right....Every year is the best year of your life...

Oh wow Girlfriend - youare going to be 30 - definitely a time to celebrate and party......
I think Sat is good also, but for me it doesn't really matter.....
Places - yikes who knows......get some ideas and put them out there....post some names of places and see what people think. I mean like in LB, Seal Beach, Huntington....just come up with a few and get ideas....
Sounds like a blast though.....I will celebrate my b-day with you.....my b-day is the end of Oct (the 20th)....remember - the day of your last lunch...
Woo hoo, can't wait to hear more details...

Oh, I love a good party!!! :D
Some things to consider:
Saturday is good, like other folks said.
A location near county lines/freeways makes it easy for people to come from everywhere....but it's your party so don't hesitate to have it close to home. Plus Huntington/FV is a pretty cool place. Try checking out Yelp for ideas: www.yelp.com
Can't wait to celebrate with you!!!
Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon, and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired."
