Good Morning California!

How does one walk 3.8 miles, eat under 600 calories and gain 1/2 pound?  Inquiring minds want to know! LOL

Our friends called yesterday saying their apple and plum trees are full of fruit so we're going over to help them pick.  I told DH I'd make him some apple sauce so I'll be busy in the kitchen too.  Nothing else planned for the day.

Good Morning Cali:

Today's going to be just kick around and clean up a few things. 6:00pm gotta drive to Chico (about an hour) for Post Op Class, my first one since surgery.

Last night I had a nice evening, my horse trainer came over and we worked with the horses getting into the trailer since it's been awhile, the 2 yr old is better than the 8 yr old.  Someone must have done wrong with him as a youngster.  He just wants to back out before he's told, but after a few demanding Whoa's and patience he settled in. He still has the injury to the back left band & hoof so we soaked it for awhile, I'm hoping he'll be ridable in a week or so. I'm ready to rock and roll - slowly of course. But it was just nice being out there with them.

Hope everyone has a nice day.

Good Morning All,

I went for a run this morning. Ran at a pace of 15:19.  I have an appointment with a trainer at 24 Hour Fitness for an orientation tonight.  Last night, I went to a seminar about Chi Running.  It is a method that teaches you how to run with less effort and less injuries.   I really enjoyed it.  I tried to incorporate some of the skills I learned last night into this morning's run and it was easier.  I plan on taking a more in-depth seminar this summer.

Lu- are you going to the carb loading dinner in Long Beach?  When are you going to the Expo to pick up your racing gear?  It would be good to hook up with you before the race.

Nope not doing the carb load dinner, but I will be at the expo on friday sometime, when the time gets closer, I will let you know what time we are going to be there. It should be fun. We will drive up the morning of the race early, so we can meet up before the run, It would be great.

Mornin' y'all!  It's a terrific Thursday and I'm working relief in Red Bluff.  Should have brought my pillow.........it's slow, quiet and peaceful here.  Last night I got my blonde back - thank God for good hair dressers and colorists! Now sporting a beautiful tri-color do - Brunette, Blonde and Gray.

Dashed home and put together the big pot of spaghetti and a couple loaves of garlic bread and took it down to the night crew!  They totally appreciate their warm dinners.  Most of them are single or married guys working out of town so a good warm meal is appreciated.

After that home to fold all the laundry that's been hanging and drying around the house.  My 22 year old gas dryer gave up the ghost and finally died.  Adios.  Kaput.  Hasta La Vista.  Darn.  It's like losing a best friend.

Working on putting together a girls weekend out of town for next year.  My 30 year high school reunion is next year and figured we'd rent a house in Mt. Shasta and spend the weekend together.  Lauri coming from Sacramento, Cindy from North Carolina, Rhonda from Oregon, and Patty from Mt. Shasta.  Guys welcome.  Found a house with 5 bedrooms all queen size beds for $300 a night.  Beautiful view.

Lunch time.  Off to blend a protein shake, spread cheeze on a cracker and have a mini bananna.
