recommendation for reversal

They have discontinued all my RA meds... and it scares me, because they were doing a good job at keeping deformities away.

wow I hope they figure out what is going on with you soon. One of my biggest fears is them taking them from me embrel quit working so they just switch it to a new one. as you prabally know when they give us new drugs we go thru changes some not so good.

I hope things get better for you soon.

Gosh Faith, I'm so sorry to hear you are going through this.  I thought you were doing well and all was good with your bypass, how sad this is, I'm heartbroken for you!  Hugs sweetie!

So sorry you are having such a hard time. I think there are alot more people who may be in the same boat as you but do not post. I am glad to see you posting...its good for all to know the good and the bad parts of WLS. I have a relative who had the surgery 3 years ago and had zero problems until about a year ago and now is just plain sick! I feel so bad for her.

Thanks Lisa! I can tell you I know a few people who don't post anymore who are experiencing stuff as well. It's hard sometimes to post the bad stuff.. I don't want to rain on anyone's parade.

Faith, Good to see you post. Here is a title of a great book I read recently when one of my members was recommended to concider a reversal. I Want to Live: Gastric Bypass Reversal by Dani Hart

In answer to you other questions in a lower post it can be used to help stop the weight loss or if you are having severe problems with absorbing. Your best best would be to ask your doctor what he is treating by doing the reversal. Yes it is laproscopic unless there are other reasons as to why they would have to do an open. Just like in your bypass same factors go into play here.
