I AM APPROVED!!!!

Surgery scheduled for 7:30 am on September 8th!  We were shooting for the 25th but that just isn't going to happen unless there's a cancellation.  No surgery after Labor Day so......... 3 more weeks of the Liver Shrink Diet.  I swear I'm going to have the prettiest liver around.

 My question right now is..........how much care will I need after surgery?  Joe is headed to Colorado on the 11th for the hunting trip he has been looking forward to all year long.  So I'm needing a "baby sitter".  Will I need someone around all the time or someone available by phone from across the street?  I'm pretty self sufficient and can normally take care of myself after surgery but don't want to be left in the lurch.  Suggestions?

Congrats!!

Congrats on getting approved and getting your date. I know the diet sucks, but it makes the surgery that much easier and less complicated. As for needing help, I live alone and didnt really need any. My mom lives very close and if I did need something she could just pop up. Mostly I slept and didnt really want anyone around, lol. Someone close by should be just fine.

I would think by phone, a neighbor or something IF you should need someone... but you may be ok on your own, I think it's a personal choice.  :)

I KNOW WHEN I CAME HOME I PROBABLY COULD HAVE TAKEN CARE OF MYSELF THE NEXT DAY, BUT I LOVED HUBBY AND MY DAUGHTER WAITING ON ME. I WAS JUST TIRED AND WASN'T GOING TO BE DOING LAUNDRY OR DISHES OR THINGS LIKE THAT. BUT I WAS ABLE TO TAKE CARE OF MY PERSONAL NEEDS.

I DIDN'T HAVE ANY LITTLE KIDS I NEEDED TO TAKE CARE OF, AND THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE.

Thanks!  I think I'll be ok at home alone with Candi on call by phone and keeping my cell phone in my jammy pockets.   I'm sticking to the diet come hell or high water (or delays or whatever).  It's not easy, but I can do this.  I can do this because I'm gonna HAVE to do this after surgery!

I came home from the hospital on a saturday and hubby went back to work that following monday. He only works a mile from home, so he'd get home quick if there was an emergency. I'd say keep a couple phone numbers handy of people that live close to you in case of emergency. Good luck!!
