Interesting WLS Article on MSNBC site

Actually I may get some flack here but its an article that should have been written... One reason i have been so scarce around here is because Iam one of those people who feels worse now than before surgery...and frankly i get tired of the "its a wonderful thing" Desptie meeting many lovely people here, I have a hard time sticking around and cheering on people to make a choice, that may end them up in the same place I have been. So i shut up dont say a word and only come to lur****assionally.  It just wouldn't be acceptable to NOT be positive about Bariatric surgery,

There are lots of people who were initially here on OH ,out there dealing with issues related to this surgery. Those who have followed protocol and those who haven't. We just don't read their stories, because there is too much shame around the fact that WE did this to ourselves, We made the choice to alter our anatomy forever.

The fact remains, massive amounts of these surgeries are being done without the medical field really knowing what the full impact is going to be in the long run.

I wish for everyone a happy and healthy outcome, for many it is. But the fact is not always true for many. With no fault of their own.
