Sleep Apnia
Ok, so I have had headaches all this week, and when I wake up my mouth is very dry, so I took a nap Saturday without my machine and no headache, no dry mouth, and felt good. I slept all night last night without it and felt good. I was woken many times because of my pets, but other than that I haven't felt so good.
So how did you know you didn't need your machine anymore? I am 225 lbs and I think I don't need it anymore.
I would go do a sleep test, but just don't have the time to take off of work to do so.

I was having similar issues a week after WLS. I decided to lower my pressure from 10 to 8 and everything is good now. Half the time I fall asleep without the cpap and don't need but the white noise helps me sleep so I use it when I can't sleep.
You can search online and lower your own pressure, it was real easy. ULTIMATELY A SLEEP STUDY IS THE BEST WAY. i will get one when I get clsoe to goal, just to be safe.
Annabelle, I quit using my CPAP 6 weeks after surgery because of the dry mouth and the nose piece was giving me raspberries all night long. I haven't used it since. I told my cardiologist and she requested a retest. I no longer have sleep apnea. Also I didn't have to do an overnight study at the Kaiser facility. They had me pick up a unit and use it over the weekend then drop it off on Monday morning.
