Back from camping!
Hi everyone! I'm back! We had a wonderful time on our camping trip to the Big Basin Redwoods State Park. I have to say right off the bat that it was so much nicer traveling/camping being 122#s lighter...Praise God! 
I've posted some pics on my page, so hop over and take a peek. Just a quick recap, we left about 4 last Friday morning and drove made our first stop in Sherman Oaks at my brother and sis in laws. My brother teased Tim that he had brought his girlfriend and "man, is Kim gonna be p*ssed!" It was cute, he hadn't seen me since about 4 weeks post op so it was a nice wow thing for him. My sis in law kept hugging me saying, "Oh my God, oh my God, you look so friggin awesome!" 
From there we drove to Paso Robles and stopped at a great little place called Vivant Fine Cheeses and man, had a lovely cheese plate w/a glass of wine on their darling patio. SO relaxing, I gotta tell ya. Great way to begin the vacation. The camping began the next day as various family and friends arrived, it was truly wonderful. Never got any hotter than maybe 75 or so, so much shade by the wonderful Redwoods. Nights were very comfy, we mostly sat around the campfire in shorts and tanks until 10 or 11. Sang songs, reminiced, it was great. Did some nice easy hikes which were much easier this time around...lol Ok, I'll stop with that so I don't put you all to sleep if you're not already....LOLOL xo Good to be back in our own bed! Kim

Wow! Sounds like you had a great time. I have not been to the redwoods since I was a young girl. I miss camping. With all these little ones it is difficult to do. We used to camp alot, but have not done any for the past I think 5 years. We are just going to have to plan a trip up to the mountains to do this again. You see you are my insperation. Hope to hear from you soon.
