feeling confused

I had lap band surgery on 7/30/08. I had a pot luck at work and assumed i would take a few bites of food and be full. Well an hour of chatting and eating and I realized I had eaten what I normally did with no issues except i was overfull. Now I am so confused and worried this is not working. Has this happened to anyone. Did you need to get filled soon after surgery to tighten band. Please respond.

Have you had your first fill yet? I know that after having a lap-band done, the first fill is 4-6 weeks after surgery.

No I haven't yet and someone else told me they wont fill until 6 weeks . This has been such a long journey to get here and I was anxious to get the weight loss started but it looks like the journey will still be a game of patience.

I did not have the band done, but I researched alot. You may need a fill. Talk to your surgeon.

I have a friend that it has worked well for. It can work for you too!
