Surgery went well, apparently I had a hiatal hernia which was repaired. DIdnt know I had one. The gas pain is horrible. I got up and walked right away and sipped water all day. Got in about 32 ounces. I have some mixed emotions, basically about what the future will bring. Thanks for everyones support, time to go rest.

Walking a lot helped my gas pains pass quickly.  If you can swallow air and make yourself burb, that also helped.  I know, probably TMI...but it helped. ;-)

Welcome to the finer side of surgery!

Hi welcome home, I am Chere's friend.  I had my surgery on August 7th just one week ago today.  About day 4 for me the gas pain subsidded after a few trips up and down the stairs.  I walked alot because the gas pain prevented me from laying around.  Keep faith in a few days you should be feeling much better.  Even the pain in my abd.  is much better now.
