Good on you for working out so hard!

I use simple stuff - gatorade and protein drinks - I use pro-complex for protein - it's got lost of good stuff in it and tons of protein! I stick to the plain gatorade as some of the different ones with fancy names don't make me feel so good!

(bad advise coming...) NOW... if I need a quick boost either for working, or a gig, or at the end of a long race... nothin' beats Starbucks Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans!!! Yes... they are really bad for you - lots of sugar and other bad stuff... but they work for me! I haven't had them in a loooong time... but I miss them! (flame mask firmly in place!)

Good on you for working out so much, but you also have to listen to your body. If you are taking vitamins and getting all your protien in and your are exhausted, then maybe you ought to look at your iron levels too as you could be anemic. I am not a doc obviously, but I do listen to my body. I know eat properly and I have never missed my supplements unless I was having surgery. Maybe you ought to talk with your trainer and he/she might have some suggestions or contact your doc and let him know about your fatigue. I am not sure if I would take things to boost your energy...they could have some side effect.

Just because you are not cold does not mean it could not be possible. I would get your levels checked just to make sure!

Please call you Dr see if you are low on iron!! My sister can barely get out of bed due to iron deficiency. She has to go to the hospital weekly to get IV iron supplements. You will "hear me harp on supplements . She is also B-12, 5, calcuim and vitaim D deficient. I am NOT medical personal. So I say see your Dr. This is just a personal opinion do'nt do the energy drinks they have crap in themt hat can be very ubhealthy.
Now I will say WOW working oout twice a day.hat is great!!

Dang woman!  You are working out too much...No wonder you're tired LOL....How have you been?....Anyhow, yeah.....I think you should workout once a day. That's my recommendation.

Let's see....Ummmm what I've been doing before my workout, I sometimes drink about 8 oz of black coffee and boy does that wire me up.  Other than that, I drink sugar free Red Bulls and that does the job too.  But truly, my recommendation is to give your body some rest

What a perfect post for me to recommend my favorite Crystal Light drink. I never have been a coffee girl, and still cannot handle carbonation AT ALL. Instead, I use the Crystal Light Wild Strawberry in a 33oz bottle of water. WOW .. it gives me that zip zip with no immediate zoom and no crash. I love it in the morning after breakfast. I notice i'm way more productive at work with it and I'm sure I singlehandedly keep it in production. I've got boxes of it in my offce and at home and give it out to people all the time.

Additionally, I've also used those 5Hr Energy Drinks and that totally helped. It didn't have a rush up or crash down, either. While I didn't feel i had MORE energy, I did feel more alert and awake and ABLE to do more in that time.

None of these are protien/vitamin rich, which I'm sure you know. But my money's on the CL.
