Dr. Jossart's reputation???
Dr J is great! I had a RNY July 9 and post surgery I felt no pain, had no trouble getting in my protein or liquid. I used the 3 months before surgery to taste test every protein powder I could get my hands on, practiced the amounts I'd be able to have and slowly worked up to 10,000 steps a day walking. I was in good shape and knew what I was getting into by the time I had surgery. I still use the protein powder I liked best before surgery and when I get in my 10,000 steps (.25 miles or so) a day, I lose about 5 lbs a week. I couldn't be happier.
Dr J remembers me each time I see him whether it's at the Petaluma support group or in his office. He's dedicated to his patients and gives you plenty of information to be successful. He's very quick to respond to your email, yes he responds, not one of his staff. I feel I got the absolute best care possible.
CPMC in SF is a wonderful hospital. They took good care of me and had me walking 2 hours after I got to my room. Walking was key to a faster, more pain-free recovery.
I would have Dr J do it all over again in a heartbeat.

I'm working with him and his office right now, my packet goes off to insurance sometime this week for approval.....I've met with him 2 times and he's very nice, caring, and full of information!
I went to a Petaluma meeting with him last month, and see that it was a pretty big turn out and he knew so many peoples names...seems that his paitents are not just a #....His staff is all super friendly too!
