Sorry for posting this late. I arrived home this afternoon to find the mystery box at my front door. What a great box of surprises I found when I opened it......

Well, being I have a ittle dog that is a Diva, I had to go for the little coat and leash, wow, is she ever going to be up in style in that.....it is awesome......

Then, there was a cordaroy (can't spell it) pillow that matched some of my small throw pillows my my couch, my grand daughter insisted we keep that also, plus it vibrates and helped put her and her doll to sleep.....:)

Box goes out tomorrow to parts unkown....so  if your on the list, beware, it just could be you....

I'm not telling what the replacement parts are....

I don't know when this was start or if it is a one time thing or something that is done for time to time. But it sure sounds like a lot of fun. Could someone tell me about it please.

Thanks so much

Joy a while back I started a Mystery Box white elephant mailing that had 12 or 14 items in it and the person *****ceived the box would take what they wanted and replacedit with as many items that they took. It was a fun alternative to a SecretPal thingie that we had done for 6 months. Darlene was the one who suggested the alternative and there have been others who have shown interest in another one if I decide to do it again....probably will and do a them like Darlene had suggested too. I think it is a fun way to promote community!

Glad you got it Darlene!!! IT seems like it has been forever since I mailed it off to the top part of the state....I do not know how long it will be before I see it again! Was the doggie thing pink and black? If so...I know where that came from!!! LOL

Janine, Wow, that was a fast reply!! I thought I was the only night owl. LOL
Anyway, If you decide to do another one I would really like to get in on it. It just sounds like fun. And I think everybody likes receiving packages in the mail. I think that is why I like mail order (whatever excuse I can use works for me ha-ha).

You are too funny Joy...guess you must be kind of new around these parts making a comment about me being a night owl...yep that be me...I fall asleep early because I get up so dang early and then I am up in the middle of the night. Vicious circle really. I am worried because I have to figure out how to get myself back on track in 3 weeks because school is going to start and I am freaking out about not getting to sleep or really staying asleep. I have been off and not on a schedule since June...eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeks!

For sure when I get another box going....I will post so I can get a list of people who want to participate!

Yep that is right I am an art teacher!!! I also ride....there is a pic on my profile of me on my motorcycle. It has been way too hot to ride...although I do get out early in the morning sometimes on the weekend with my hubby. Do you ride? And what? Also I know where your avatar was taken...or at least I think I do...it looks like Yosemite, but I am drawing a brainfart on the name of the site where it was taken from...I have been there many times too! (on my motorcyle LOL)

Well, first that is Yosemite falls and I live about 65 miles from there. And I have riden since the age of 8 month when Dad took me for my first ride!! When I got sick with a really nasty unforgiving bladder disease I had to sell my Yamahaaaaa .That is the sound all my friends made when there "harley riden selves" laughed at me. Until I rode be them doing the same thing when the were on the side of the rode broke down. LOL All in fun, of course. I am planning on buying one very soon. Selling that bike was one of the haedest things I have ever done, I really loved that bike.
My oldest son just bought his first hHarley and he is in "HOG HEAVEN" it's a sweet lookin' ride (a DELUXE). He just sent a pic of it with the new handle bars (ape hangers).
Well, I won't give you the whole life story but that's a start.

I would be very upset also if I had to sell my motorcycle. I have been riding only for 15 years and cannot imagine not riding any longer! Sunday I was out and saw my kids. I got on my bike with my granddaugher albeit she is only 11 months old now. I put my helmut on her...she was not amused, but it was nappy time for her. I plan on saving this bike for her as I do not see me buying another motorcyle at this time in my life....I have a big "HOG" and if I bought another one all I would be upgrading for what a few more cubic inches and it all being electric...don't thing so!

My grandad was the one who got me into Harleys as he was the one who rode and instilled my love of bikes. He bought his first Harley from Dudley Perkins in SF! I grew up listening to those police service cars and never got it out of my blood.

Ah yes Yosemite Falls...gorgeous eh? I remember the first time I rode to Yosemite...it was like having a movie go off in front of my face...it was so awesome going up to Glacier Point on my bike and feeling like you could pick Half Dome out the sky...you truly live in a slice of God's Country!

Where you effected by the fires? Hope NOT!!!!
