Help... Any Support Groups in San Francisco?

I had surgery on 7/1/08 and I am in desperate need of a support system to get me through this.  I feel heading back toward my old eating habits and have reached a plateau with my weight loss.

I also had surgery by Dr. Campos.  The UCSF Bariatric Surgery Support Group meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 6 pm.  It is not held on the 6th floor but is in that same outpatient building, 400 Parnassus on the 4th floor - AC455.  I went for the first time in July.  We met for about an hour.  There were @ 6 or 7 of us plus Dr. Rogers, Dr. Posselt, and David (the nutritionist).  It was a good group. I don't know if Dr. Campos attends or not - he just wasn't there in July.

It's so nice to hear from you.  Sounds like you're doing well.  Thanks for the tip on the support group.  I just called Karen at Dr. Campos' office to inquire on it.  Looks like I'll get to meet you next week.

The one at Mills Penninsula is very active, but Burlingame is a bit of a hike for you. I believe that Alta Bates has one you can check into. It seems like most of the hospitals in the area have their own groups. Good luck!
